Stark County is a county located in the U.S. state of Ohio. As of the 2020 census, the population was 374,853. Its county seat is Canton. The county was created in 1808 and organized the next year. It is named for John Stark, an officer in the American Revolutionary War.
Massillon is a city in Stark County, Ohio, United States, approximately 8 miles (13 km) west of Canton, 20 miles (32 km) south of Akron, and 50 miles (80 km) south of Cleveland. The population was 32,146 at the 2020 census. Massillon is the second largest city within the Canton–Massillon metropolitan area, which includes all of Stark and Carroll counties and had a population of 401,574 in 2020.
The University of Southern Indiana (USI) is a public university just outside of Evansville, Indiana. Founded in 1965, USI enrolls 9,750 dual credit, undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students in more than 130 areas of study. USI offers programs through the College of Liberal Arts, Romain College of Business, College of Nursing and Health Professions and the Pott College of Science, Engineering, and Education. Palomar College is a public community college in San Diego County, California. The main campus is in San Marcos and three centers and four education sites are located elsewhere throughout north San Diego County. The largest of these by student population is the education center located in Escondido. In 2018, education centers in Rancho Bernardo and Fallbrook opened. The Rancho Bernardo Education Center is located on 27 acres at 11111 Rancho Bernardo Road, and the Fallbrook Education Center is located on 81 acres at 35090 Horse Ranch Creek Road. Other education sites are located at Camp Pendleton and at Ramona High School.
Notre Dame College is a private Roman Catholic college in South Euclid, Ohio. Established in 1922 by the Sisters of Notre Dame as a women's college, it has been coeducational since January 2001. Notre Dame College offers 30 majors and individually designed majors and confers undergraduate and graduate degrees through five academic divisions. The college had a total enrollment of 1,106 undergraduate students in fall 2020. The 48-acre (19.4 ha) main academic and residential campus is located 10 miles (16 km) east of Cleveland in South Euclid.
Jackson High School is a public high school located in Jackson Township, Ohio, United States, near Massillon. Part of the Jackson Local School District, it serves grades 9 through 12. The school's colors are purple and gold and the athletic teams are known as the Polar Bears.

Lakota West High School is a four-year, public high school in West Chester Township, a suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. It is a member of the Lakota Local School District, which comprises both West Chester Township and Liberty Township. The district was originally unified under one high school, Lakota High School, until 1997 when the district expanded and formed two new high schools – Lakota West and Lakota East. Enrollment for Lakota West exceeds 2,500 students, and the school's radio station, WLHS 89.9 FM, is a remnant of the former high school and is staffed by students from both Lakota East and Lakota West.

Wellsville Junior/Senior High School is a public high school in Wellsville, Ohio, United States. It is the only high school in the Wellsville Local School District. Athletic teams compete as the Wellsville Tigers in the Ohio High School Athletic Association as a member of the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference as well as the Ohio Valley Athletic Conference.
Liberty-Benton High School is a public high school near Findlay, Ohio, and the only high school in the Liberty-Benton Local School district. It is named for Liberty Township, the village of Benton Ridge, and Eagle Township. Its mascot is the bald eagle, and its school colors are blue and white, accented with red. It is also a member of the Blanchard Valley Conference. In 1995, the school expanded by building a new high school facility about a fourth of a mile from the main building. After the new building was completed, all sports programs except football, baseball, track, and softball were moved to the new building. Football and track continued at the main school until 2003. The baseball and softball teams played at Benton Ridge Park until fields at the new high school were finished in the late 2000s. The new high school hosts district tournaments in basketball, volleyball, and track.
Liberty Center High School is a public high school in Liberty Center, Ohio. It is the only high school in the Liberty Center Local Schools district. Their school mascot nickname is the Tigers, with their colors being orange and black. They are members of the Northwest Ohio Athletic League.
Norwalk High School is a public high school in Norwalk, Ohio. It is the only public high school in the Norwalk City Schools district. The school was established in 1857 and the nickname of the school is the Truckers.
Ryan Perryman is a retired American expatriate basketball player who spent time playing professionally in Hungary, South Korea, Chile, the Dominican Republic and Argentina. He is best remembered, however, for his collegiate career at the University of Dayton between 1994–95 and 1997–98. Perryman played for the Flyers after attending Oak Park High School in Oak Park, Michigan. During his four-year career, the 6 ft 7 in (2.01 m), 228-pound power forward compiled 1,524 points and 1,156 rebounds. As a senior in 1997–98, Perryman led NCAA Division I in rebounding with a 12.5 per game average. He holds the school records for rebounds in a game (23) and offensive rebounds in a season (166).
Ohio Valley University was a private Christian college located between Parkersburg and Vienna in West Virginia. Founded in 1958, the school integrated education with teachings of the Christian faith. The college was physically located on two separate campuses totalling 267 acres (108 ha). At one time, OVU offered bachelor's degrees in more than 30 different subject areas, but scaled back its academic options as enrollment numbers and financial stability dropped significantly in recent years. The college was accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, and was placed under academic probation in 2020 by the Higher Learning Commission due to ongoing long-term financial struggles. In December 2021, the OVU Board of Directors voted to close the college after the Fall 2021 semester. The West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission voted to revoke OVU's authority to grant degrees shortly thereafter. Seniors were allowed to finish their degrees without the loss of any credit hours in the spring semester of 2022 at several other institutions of higher education related to Churches of Christ through "teach out" agreements. In August 2022 it was reported to WTAP News that OVU had lost all academic records since 1960 and had no records of anyone's attendance at the school.
Ryan Travis is an American football fullback who is currently a free agent. He played college football at West Liberty University, where he was a consensus first-team Division II All-American in both 2009 and 2010. He led Division II in receptions in his senior year, while also tying the Division II season record for touchdowns by a tight end. He finished his college career as the fifth leading all-time Division II receiver. Undrafted in the 2011 NFL Draft, Travis played with the Seattle Seahawks in the 2011 preseason before being waived.
