Twister is a Brazilian pop rock band formed in 2000. The band was originally composed of Sander Mecca (guitar), Leo Richter (bass guitar), Luciano Lucca (keyboards), Gilson Campos (drums) and Alex Bandera (guitar).
The group Twister arose after the businessman Hélio Batista discover the vocalist Sander Mecca in a bar in São Paulo. At that time, Mecca used to play guitar making covers of songs by Pearl Jam. After receiving a proposal from Batista, Mecca started looking for other members for the band. He went to Campinas to make music classes, where he met Lucca and Campos, and together, they created Twister. In the same year, Batista hired Thiago Calabrez as a new member. Back in São Paulo, the group started rehearsing every day and searched for a record company. In 1999, they met Richter, who replaced Calabrez.
In 2000, they released the album "Twister," their first recorded with Abril Music. The hit "40 graus" ("40 Degrees" in English) topped the Brazilian charts, and the album sold 250,000 copies, also reaching the 67th position among the 100 most played songs in Brazil that year.
In 2001, Lucca decided to abandon the group after having some discussions with the Batista. Bandera replaced him. Two months later, the group dumped Batista and called back Lucca.
In March 2001, they traveled to Los Angeles with a proposal of the record company to the release of their first CD in Spanish. In June, the CD twister was released in United States, Mexico and Puerto Rico and the group made a tour during one month, with shows in Miami, Los Angeles and San Juan, Puerto Rico. This CD was not released in Brazil.
Later in 2001, the band was invited to open a 'N Sync show in Mexico, in a stadium with a capacity of 100,000 people.
In 2002, the band released their third album, Mochila e Guitarra no Avião, which had a version in Portuguese of the song "I Drive Myself Crazy", by 'N Sync.
But 2002 was marked by unforeseen events. One of them was the closing Abril Music, and the project to release a new CD did not happen. Another was the imprisonment of Mecca for drug use.
At the end in 2003, Mecca created another band named Meccamorfose, Richter released a CD and followed a solo career making shows beside the singer Thaeme, winner of the second edition of the show Ídolos (American Idol Brazil), Lucca is a hair stylist and Campos became a gospel singer.
In 2011, Thiago Calabrez (Tcalabrez) followed his career in electronic music, acting as disc jockey with a national and international career.
In 2013, the band announced their return and released a new single named Pé Na Estrada.

Call to Arms is the sole album by American heavy metal band C4, a one-off group consisting of guitarist Michael Angelo Batio, vocalist Dan Lenegar, bassist William Kopecky and drummer John Mrozek. Recorded and self-produced by the guitarist at Monster Mix Studio in Chicago, Illinois, it was released in March 2001 on his own label, M.A.C.E. Music. The album contains recordings of songs originally written for Batio's earlier groups, Holland (1984–1986) and Nitro (1988–1993).
Khallice is a Brazilian progressive metal act in founded in 1994. The band's founder Marcelo Barbosa (guitars) is the owner of GTR, a large guitar institute in Brasília, and currently is a member of Angra and Almah.
Marcelo Silva Barbosa is a Brazilian guitarist and music teacher. He is a founder or member of other Brazilian bands like progressive metal act Khallice and former Angra vocalist Edu Falaschi's band Almah. He also is the founder and owner of GTR music school in his home city Brasília, and columnist of Cover Guitarra, Guitar Class and Guitar Player magazines. Since September 2015, he also joined Angra, replacing Kiko Loureiro, who is now a member of Megadeth.
Live in Brasília is the fifth live concert by Mexican Latin pop group RBD. The material was recorded at the Esplanada dos Ministérios in Brasília, Brazil on April 21, 2008, in a front of a crowd of more than 500,000 people, the biggest show of the band's career. The live video album shows the free concert RBD presented during the 48th anniversary of the Brazilian capital, which formed part of the group's Empezar Desde Cero World Tour (2008). The DVD was released in Brazil on March 26, 2009 and in Mexico on June 9, 2009. The CD and streaming were released worldwide on October 5, 2020.
The Quaternaglia Guitar Quartet (QGQ) is a classical guitar ensemble from São Paulo, Brazil, founded in 1992. MPB4 is a vocal and instrumental Brazilian group formed in Niterói, Rio de Janeiro, in 1965, and has been active since. The group's main genres are sung samba and MPB, and they are considered among the best vocal interpretation group in Brazil. They have frequently collaborated with Quarteto em Cy, Toquinho and Chico Buarque. In 2001, MPB-4 completed a 36-year career with the same formation.

Imunidade Musical is the seventh studio album by Brazilian alternative rock band Charlie Brown Jr., released on August 23, 2005 through EMI. Following a brief hiatus after the departure of former bandmembers Champignon, Marcão and Renato Pelado, it was the band's first release with its new line-up of bassist Heitor Gomes, drummer/beatboxer Pinguim Ruas and guitarist Thiago Castanho, an original founding member who had parted ways with Charlie Brown Jr. in 2001 following the release of their third album, Nadando com os Tubarões.
