Kalieb Gibson, better known by his ring name Tyler Matrix, is an American professional wrestler, currently working as a freelancer and is best known for his tenure with IWA Mid-South (IWA). [3]
Gibson made his professional wrestling debut for Ohio Valley Wrestling at OVW TV Tapings on August 12, 2015, where he fell short to Dapper Dan Van Zandt. [4] He competed in a 30-man rumble match at OVW Nightmare Rumble 2019 from January 5, against other superstars such as the winner Tony Gunn, Amon and Big Zo. [5] Gibson also worked for Pro Wrestling Freedom, and on November 10, 2017, he defeated Myron Reed in a first-round match of a tournament, but fell short to Chase Owens in the semi-finals, with Owens retaining the PWF Heavyweight Championship over him. Gibson wrestled a few matches for Impact Wrestling during their talent promoting relationship with The Wrestling Revolver, [7] first of them being at REVOLVER/Impact Wrestling Tales From The Ring 3 on October 4, 2019, where he teamed up with Logan James as part of the Player's Club stable, falling short to The Crew (Jason Cade and Rich Swann). [8] At Impact Wrestling All Glory from October 19, 2019, he competed in a four-way match, scoring a defeat against the winner Jason Cade, Clayton Gainz and his stablemate Logan James. [9] Gibson wrestled his last match for Impact at Impact Wrestling/The Revolver No Surrender 2019 from December 7, where he teamed up with Logan James, falling short to Trey Miguel in a 2-on-1 handicap match. Gibson is best known for his tenure with IWA Mid-South, where he is the current IWA Mid-South Heavyweight Champion, title which he won at the same time with the IWA Ted Petty Invitational Tournament 2021 on April 24 in a three-way match also involving Jake Crist and John Wayne Murdoch. [11] He also participated in the IWA Ted Petty Invitational Tournament of 2020, where he fell short to Joe Travis in a first-round match on September 12. [12] Matrix joined The Player's Club stable back in 2018, and teamed up often teamed up with Logan James or Adam Slade to win the IWA Mid-South Tag Team Championship, like at IWA Heartbreak on February 11, 2021, where he won a gauntlet tag team match also involving GK Fam (Piper and Prima Donny), Talladega Knights (Hunter Drake and Tyler Franks), The Highlight Reel (Damian Reel and Diamon Reel) and The Lost (Brayden Toon and Shean Christohper). [13] At IWA Mid-South Thunder Before Thunder on April 11, 2019, Gibson successfully defended the IWA Mid-South Tag Team Championship alongside Logan James by defeating Ohio Versus Everything (Jake Crist and Sami Callihan). The IWA World Championship is the major title in the Independent Wrestling Association Mid-South based in Louisville, Kentucky. The title debuted at the "Crowning of a Champion" event on April 3, 1997, when Tower of Doom won a twelve man tournament. There have been a total of 122 reigns shared between 60 different champions and 19 vacancies. The current champion is Jake Crist who is in his second reign.

The Ted Petty Invitational tournament is an independent wrestling tournament in North America, run and promoted by Independent Wrestling Association Mid-South. Created as the Sweet Science Sixteen in 2000 by Ian Rotten, the tournament was originally supposed to showcase the top technical independent wrestlers. After the death of Ted Petty in September 2002, Rotten changed the name to honor his friend. The tournament was expanded to 24 participants, with a three-way final, in 2003. Over the years, the tournament has attracted numerous famous independent wrestlers from Ken Anderson, A.J. Styles to James Gibson.
