Miho Komatsu is a former Japanese singer and songwriter. Born and raised in Kobe, Japan, Komatsu began her career as a songwriter, writing "Kono Machi de Kimi to Kurashitai" for Field of View. In May 1997, she released her debut single "Nazo", which served as the theme song to the Japanese anime series Case Closed. The song peaked at number nine on the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart in Japan and was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ). Her debut album of the same title (1997) peaked at number five on the Oricon Weekly Albums Chart in Japan. After releasing her first compilation album Miho Komatsu Best ~once more~ (2006), which peaked at number 21 in Japan, she retired from music industry with no announcement.

Born in Higashiōsaka, Japan, she won the first season of the audition Super Starlight Contest, winning a recording contract with Giza Studio. Her eurobeat-sounding debut album, Be Happy (2001) was certified gold in Japan and spawned a top-five single, "Koi wa Thrill, Shock, Suspense", which served as the theme song to the Japanese anime television series Case Closed. Aiuchi's second album Power of Words became her best-selling album, selling over 419,000 copies nationwide and certificated platinum in Japan.
Ayaka Iida, known simply by the mononym Ayaka, is a female Japanese singer, songwriter and record producer formerly signed to Warner Music Japan. Born in Osaka, she moved to Tokyo to pursue a singing career. She married actor Hiro Mizushima on February 22, 2009.
U-ka saegusa IN db was a Japanese pop rock band formed in Osaka in 2002. The band consists of lead vocalist U-ka Saegusa, lead guitarist Yūichirō Iwai, lead bassist Taku Ōyabu, and drummer Keisuke Kurumatani. Signed to Giza Studio, the band released four studio albums before disbanding in 2010. They're known for performing the several theme songs for the Japanese anime series, Case Closed. One of the songs, "Kimi to Yakusoku Shita Yasashii Ano Basho made", became the band's best-selling single, selling approximately 34,000 copies nationwide.

The single was released in two editions: a first press/limited edition and a regular edition. It was released on 9 October 2002 on Zain Records, on the same day as their music video compilation "View Clips -Memorial Best-". The album includes all of their released singles in addition to some unreleased songs. The "view" singles are not included. The album reached #19 in its first week and sold 12,000 copies. The album charted for 2 weeks and sold more than 16,000 copies. After the album's release and their last live performance, Field of View disbanded.
