U. K. Anandavardhanan (born 25 May 1976) is an Indian mathematician specialising in automorphic forms and representation theory. He was awarded the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for Science and Technology, the highest science award in India, for the year 2020 in mathematical science category. After completing undergraduate studies in University of Calicut, Anandavardhanan joined University of Hyderabad for further studies. He secured M Sc in mathematics from there in 1998 and Ph D in 2003. He was with Tata Institute of Fundamental Research during February 2003 - July 2005 and spent the spring of 2004 in University of Iowa. He has been a faculty member of Indian Institute of Technology Bombay since July 2005.

Mandar Madhukar Deshmukh is an Indian physicist specialising in nanoscale and mesoscopic physics and affiliated to Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai. He was awarded the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for Science and Technology in 2015, the highest science award in India, in the physical sciences category. He obtained BTech degree from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay in 1996 and PhD degree from Cornell University under the guidance of D.C. Ralph in 2002. Before coming to Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, he was a postdoctoral researcher in the group of Hongkun Park at Harvard University.

Narayanan Chandrakumar is an Indian chemical physicist and a professor of chemistry at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. He is the founder of the first Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) laboratory in India and is known for developing a new technique for NMR imaging and diffusion measurements. Naveen Garg

Naveen Garg is a Professor of Computer Science in Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, specializing in algorithms and complexity in theoretical computer science. He was awarded the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for Science and Technology, India's highest prize for excellence in science, mathematics and technology, in the mathematical sciences category in the year 2016. Naveen Garg's contributions are primarily in the design and analysis of approximation algorithms for NP-hard combinatorial optimization problems arising in network design, scheduling, routing, facility location etc.

Tushar Kanti Chakraborty is an Indian organic chemist and a professor at the Indian Institute of Science. He has served as a director of Central Drug Research Institute and as a chief scientist at the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology. Subramanian Anantha Ramakrishna is a professor of physics in Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur specializing in optics and condensed matter physics. He was awarded the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for Science and Technology, India's highest prize for excellence in science, mathematics and technology, in the physical sciences category in the year 2016. Ramakrishna obtained M.Sc. degree from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur in 1995 after pursuing the integrated 5-year M.Sc. programme and secured Ph.D. from Raman Research Institute, Bangalore, in 2001 for a thesis titled "Light transport and localization in Active and passive random media" written under the supervision of Prof. N. Kumar. He spent two years in Imperial College, London, as a postdoctoral researcher and joined Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur as an assistant professor in May 2003, where he now holds the position of professor. In July 2020, Prof. Ramakrishna took charge as Director of the CSIR-Central Scientific Instruments Organisation in Chandigarh.

Man Mohan Suri

Man Mohan Suri (1928–1981) was an Indian mechanical engineer and the Director of Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute (CMERI), Durgapur. He is best known for inventing Suri Transmission, a hydromechanical transmission unit, reported to increase the efficiency of diesel locomotives and he held the patent for the inventions. The technology is known to have led to 36 patent specifications in eleven countries. He is also credited with the conceptualization of Swaraj farm tractor, a product of Punjab Tractors Ltd. and held another patent for his development of Railway truck wheel assembly. He received the fourth highest Indian civilian award of the Padma Shri in 1961. The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, the apex agency of the Government of India for scientific research, awarded him the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for Science and Technology, one of the highest Indian science awards for his contributions to Engineering Sciences in 1962. The Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi has instituted an annual award, Padmashri Manmohan Suri Project Award, for honoring the best mechanical project by its alumni.

Vivek Shripad Borkar is an Indian electrical engineer, mathematician and an Institute chair professor at the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai. Yogesh Moreshwar Joshi is an Indian chemical engineer, rheologist and the C.V. Seshadri Chair professor at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. He is known for his studies on metastable soft matter and is an elected fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineering. In 2015, the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, the apex agency of the Government of India for scientific research, awarded Joshi the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for Science and Technology for his contributions to Engineering Sciences.

Kehar Singh is an Indian optical physicist and an emeritus fellow of the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. He is a former CLUSTER chair professor at Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne and a former professor of IIT Delhi. He has also served as an academic visitor at Imperial College of Science and Technology, London.

Ganpathi Naresh Patwari is an Indian chemist and a professor at the Department of Chemistry of the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. Known for his studies on vibrational spectroscopy, his work is reported to have widened the understanding of the fundamental concepts in hydrogen bonding.

The Rashbehari Siksha Prangan is a university campus, one of five main campuses of the University of Calcutta (CU). The college served as the cradle of Indian Sciences by winning the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930 and many fellowships of the Royal Society London.
