Ugly Miss Young-Ae [1] (Hangul : 막돼먹은 영애씨; RR : Makdwaemeokeun Yeongaesshi; lit. Rude Miss Young-Ae) is a long-running South Korean television series starring Kim Hyun-sook. The series premiered on tvN in South Korea on April 20, 2007, and its sixteenth season started on December 4, 2017.
The Korean alphabet, known as Hangul, has been used to write the Korean language since its creation in the 15th century by King Sejong the Great. It may also be written as Hangeul following the standard Romanization.
The Revised Romanization of Korean is the official Korean language romanization system in South Korea proclaimed by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism to replace the older McCune–Reischauer system. The new system eliminates diacritics and apostrophes in favor of digraphs.

Kim Hyun-sook is a South Korean actress and comedian. She is best known for playing the title character in Ugly Miss Young-ae, a long-running sitcom that depicts the reality of life as a single, older woman in Korea.
Go Se-won is a South Korean actor. Go began his acting career in musical theatre, then made the leap to television in 2007. He has played supporting roles in several Korean dramas such as Three Brothers, Cinderella's Sister, Three Sisters, You Don't Know Women, and The Moon and Stars for You. Go has also appeared in 13 seasons of cable sitcom Rude Miss Young-ae. In 2013, he was cast in his first onscreen leading role in the daily melodrama Crazy Love.
