Ukraine competed at the inaugural World Beach Games in Doha, Qatar from 12 to 16 October 2019. In total, athletes representing Ukraine won one silver medal and two bronze medals. [1] The country finished in 20th place in the medal table. [1]

The World Games were organized by the Wrocław Organizing Committee. Wrocław was selected as the host city in January 2012 in Lausanne, over Budapest, Hungary. It was the first time The World Games was organised in Poland.

He also won one of the bronze medals in the 79 kg event at the 2020 European Wrestling Championships held in Rome, Italy. Mykhailov represented Ukraine at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.
