The Ukrainian Hockey Extra League was the name of the highest ice hockey league in Ukraine during the 2015–16 season, playing for the Ukrainian Hockey Championship. [1] After only one season, the league was disbanded.

Ukrainian Premier League Highest division of Ukrainian annual football championship

The Ukrainian Premier League or UPL is the highest division of Ukrainian annual football championship. As the Vyshcha Liha it was formed in 1991 as part of the 1992 Ukrainian football championship upon discontinuation of the 1991 Soviet football championship and included the Ukraine-based clubs that competed previously in the Soviet top three tiers competitions as well as better clubs of the Ukrainian republican competitions. Ukrainian Hockey Championship

The Ukrainian Hockey Championship is an annual ice hockey award and national title, bestowed to the ice hockey organization judged to have the best performing team in Ukraine, founded in 1992. Prior to the 2015–16 season, the league playing for the title took the name Ukrainian Hockey Extra League. In 2016, the new Ukrainian Hockey League was created instead.

The Kontinental Hockey League is an international professional ice hockey league founded in 2008. It comprises member clubs based in Russia (19), Belarus (1), Kazakhstan (1) and China (1) for a total of 22.

Akim Aliu Nigerian-born Canadian-Ukrainian ice hockey player

Akim Aliu is a Nigerian-born Canadian-Ukrainian former professional ice hockey player. He last played for HC Litvínov in the Czech Extraliga (ELH). Aliu was a second round selection of the Chicago Blackhawks, 56th overall, in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft and has played for several AHL and ECHL teams in both the Blackhawks and Atlanta Thrashers/Winnipeg Jets organizations before a trade to the Calgary Flames. Aliu made his NHL debut on April 5, 2012.

Hockey Club Donbass is a Ukrainian professional ice hockey team based in Druzhkivka, currently playing in the Ukrainian Hockey League.

HK ATEK Kyiv was an ice hockey team in Kyiv, Ukraine. The team played in the Ukrainian Hockey League, the top level of Ukrainian ice hockey.

Professional Hockey League Football tournament

The Professional Hockey League (PHL) was an ice hockey league in Ukraine, founded in 2011; ceased in 2013. The country's national title, the Ukrainian Championship, was awarded annually to the league champion following a 4-team, 2-round playoff at the end of the 41-game regular season. Runners-up received silver and bronze medals. This format ended after the 2012–13 season, whereupon the FHU reclaimed administration of the title. The winner of the Ukrainian/PHL Championship was also guaranteed qualification into the Champions Hockey League season. The PHL is shown on the First National TV channel and the Hockey channel to broadcast regular season and playoff games. Many of the PHL's games are also broadcast online.

The 2012–13 Professional Hockey League season was the 21st annual edition of the Ukrainian Hockey Championship, and the second season of the Professional Hockey League (PHL). Seven teams participated in season, with HC Donbass-2 becoming national champions for second year in a row.

The 2014–15 Men's FIH Hockey World League was the second season of the men's field hockey national team league series. The tournament started in July 2014 in Sveti Ivan Zelina, Croatia and finished in December 2015 in Raipur, India.

Berkshire Battalion

The Berkshire Battalion were a minor league professional ice hockey team in the Federal Hockey League that played during the 2014–15 season. Based in North Adams, Massachusetts, the Battalion played at the Peter W. Foote Vietnam Veterans Memorial Skating Rink.

HK Kremenchuk

HK Kremenchuk is an ice hockey team based in Kremenchuk, Ukraine, playing in the Ukrainian Hockey Extra League that was formed prior to the 2016–17 season. The club was founded in 2010 and initially competed in Ukrainian amateur championships before joining the Belarusian Vysshaya Liga for 2013–14 season. After finishing the regular 2013–14 season Kremenchuk was forced to withdraw from the league prior to the playoffs due to the political situation in Ukraine. The team then joined the Ukrainian Championship for the 2014–15 season, winning the regular season and finishing as runners-up in the playoffs. Kremenchuk has also qualified for the IIHF Continental Cup on one occasion.

Generals Kiev(Ukrainian: XK Дженералз Київ) is a Ukrainian ice hockey club from Kyiv. The team participates in the Ukrainian Hockey League.

HK Rapid(Ukrainian: XK Рапид) is a former ice hockey team based in Kyiv, Ukraine.

The 2014–15 Ukrainian Hockey Championship was the 23rd season of the Ukrainian Hockey Championship. Only four teams participated in the league this season, because of the instability in Ukraine and that most of the clubs had economical issues. Generals Kiev was the only team that participated in the league the previous season, and the season started first after the year-end of 2014. The regular season included just 12 rounds, where all the teams went to the semifinals. In the final, HK ATEK Kyiv defeated the regular season winner HK Kremenchuk.

Yunist' Kharkiv(Ukrainian: Юність Харків) is an ice hockey team based in Kharkiv, Ukraine, playing in the Ukrainian Hockey League.

The 2015–16 Ukrainian Hockey Extra League season was the 24th season of the Ukrainian Hockey Championship, and the first since the league was named Ukrainian Hockey Extra League. Eight teams participated in the league this season, but it was long uncertain which teams that would participate because of the instability in Ukraine and that some of the clubs have economic issues. HK Donbass won both the regular season and the playoffs.

HK Vytyaz' Kharkiv(Ukrainian: Витязь Харків) is an ice hockey team based in Kharkiv, Ukraine, playing in the Ukrainian Hockey League.

The 2021–22 KHL season is the 14th season of the Kontinental Hockey League. There were 24 teams that competed in 56 regular season games, beginning on 1 September 2021 and was scheduled to finish on 1 March 2022. However, the COVID-19 pandemic resulted in more than 50 games being postponed prior to the break for the 2022 Winter Olympics, and in February, it was announced that no further regular season games would be played following the break.
