Una Navidad con Gilberto (A Christmas with Gilberto), is the title of a Christmas album released by Puerto-Rican singer Gilberto Santa Rosa on October 14, 2008 by Sony BMG Norte. It was the first time that Gilberto released his own Christmas album. He previous collaborated with various artists on the Tarjeta de Navidad by Sony Discos. [1] In addition, he collaborated with Puerto Rican salsa group El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico on their album, Asi es Nuestra Navidad. [1] The album peaked at number-six in the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart and number twenty-two on the Billboard Holiday Albums chart. [2] It remained on the Top Latin Album charts for thirteen weeks. The album reached number-one on the Tropical Albums where it spent three weeks on the spot. [3] At the Latin Grammy Awards of 2009, the album received a Latin Grammy Award for "Best Traditional Tropical Album". [4]

The backup vocals includes Henry Santiago, Michelle Sotomayor, the producer Charlie Donato, Jerry Rivas of El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico, and Gilberto's protégé Víctor Manuelle. [5] The latter composed the last track for the album, "La Navidad Más Larga". Dominican Republic singer appears as a guest on the medley, "Cascabel y Candela". [5]

Two songs from the album were released as singles. The first single, "Me Gustan Las Navidades" ("I Enjoy the Holidays"), reached number-nine on the Billboard Latin Tropical Airplay chart. [6] The second single, "La Fiesta No Es Para Feos" ("The Party Is Not For Ugly People"), reached number-seven on the Billboard Latin Tropical Airplay chart. [6]

Arthur Hanlon is an American pianist, songwriter and arranger who is widely known in the Latin music realm and has had multiple hits on the Billboard charts. Born to Irish-American parents, he hails from Detroit, Michigan, but found his calling in Latin music and has received widespread recognition in that realm, becoming the first pianist to reach the Billboard Latin airplay charts in more than a decade and the first to have a No. 1 on Billboard's Tropical Airplay chart. Arthur’s most current work includes a series of collaborations all under the Sony label. In 2017 he released “No Tuve La Culpa” whose video features Arthur playing piano on the back of a moving semi truck along with Chocquibtown through the mountains of Colombia. 2018 saw the release of “Aura”, and the video has garnered more that 46 Million views. In 2019 Arthur released “Si Tu Te Vas”, Balada Para Adelina and "Como Suena El Piano” with the Cuban hiphop group Orishas. The iconic video was filmed in Cuba and celebrates the musical cross culturalism that is so prevalent in all of Arthur’s work. His debut project with Sony was Viajero, a CD and DVD documenting his travels through eight countries—Argentina, Colombia, Brazil, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Mexico and Cuba. Arthur recorded at every stop an iconic Latin track from that country with the best studio musicians to be found in each and his travels were documented by a traveling film crew. Viajero mini-docs premiered on American Airlines flights and the album Viajero, the first for Arthur on Sony Music Latin, was released in mid-2016. The Tropical Airplay chart is a record chart published by Billboard magazine introduced in 1994. The first number-one song on the chart was "Quien Eres Tu" by Luis Enrique. Originally, rankings on the chart were determined by the amount of airplay a song received on radio stations that primarily played tropical music, namely music originating from the Spanish-speaking areas of the Caribbean such as salsa, merengue, bachata, cumbia, vallenato, and tropical fusions. Established in June 1985, the chart compiles information about the top-selling albums in genres like salsa, merengue, bachata, cumbia, and vallenato, which are frequently considered tropical music. The chart features only full-length albums and, like all Billboard album charts, is based on sales. The information is compiled by Nielsen SoundScan from a sample representing more than 90% of the U.S. music retail market, including not only music stores and music departments at electronics and department stores but also direct-to-consumer transactions and Internet sales. A limited number of verifiable sales at concert venues is also tabulated. Innovations by El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico was the first album to reach number-one in the chart. Up until May 21, 2005, reggaeton albums appeared on the chart. After the installation of the Latin Rhythm Albums chart, reggaeton titles could no longer appear on the Tropical Albums chart. By removing reggaeton albums from the Tropical Albums chart, it opened slots for re-entries and debuts. The 14th Lo Nuestro Awards ceremony, presented by Univision and honoring the best Latin music of 2001 and 2002, took place on February 7, 2002, at a live presentation held at the James L. Knight Center in Miami, Florida. The ceremony was broadcast in the United States and Latin America by Univision.

The Lo Nuestro Award for Tropical Album of the Year is an honor presented annually by American television network Univision at the Lo Nuestro Awards. The accolade was established to recognize the most talented performers of Latin music. The nominees and winners were originally selected by a voting poll conducted among program directors of Spanish-language radio stations in the United States and also based on chart performance on Billboard Latin music charts, with the results being tabulated and certified by the accounting firm Deloitte. Legacy: De Líder a Leyenda Tour is the first live album by Puerto Rican artist Yandel, released on February 3, 2015 on Sony Music Latin. It was recorded at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico on October 4, 2014 during his De Líder a Leyenda Tour. It featured guest appearances by Tony Dize, J Alvarez, Gadiel and Farruko. The CD release features 10 selected tracks of the 2-hours live performance along with a Deluxe Edition which includes 10 additional tracks, 5 of them included previously on Legacy: De Líder a Leyenda Tour - EP.
