Union Township is a township in Story County, Iowa. At the time of the 2000 census, its population was 1,253.
Union Township covers an area of 36.3 square miles (94 km2) and contains the incorporated town of Cambridge. According to the United States Geological Survey, it contains one cemetery: the Cambridge Cemetery.
Interstate 35 runs north and south through the township. County Road E29 and Iowa Hwy 210 runs east–west.
The Skunk River flows from the northwest to the southeast through the township.
Story County maintains the Askew Bridge/Cambridge Pond recreational site at the intersection of 290th Street and R70. This 13-acre (53,000 m2) borrow pit site contains a 4-acre (16,000 m2) pond surrounded by native vegetation. Along with hunting and fishing, this area provides a Skunk River Water Trail Canoe Access.
The county also maintains the Christiansen Forest Preserve at 55973 310th Street. It is a 45-acre (180,000 m2) wooded tract at the western edge of the township, continuing into Palestine Township. It was donated to the conservation board in 1985 by Charles Christiansen and is designated as a wildlife refuge (no hunting is allowed). The preserve offers hiking, off-road biking, and bluebird trails. Equestrians are not allowed at the preserve. There is a replica of a colonial-times cabin built by Ballard school students.

Jackson County is a county located in the U.S. state of Michigan. Its population was 160,366 as of the 2020 Census. The county seat is Jackson. The county was set off in 1829 and organized in 1832. It is named for U.S. President Andrew Jackson and considered to be one of Michigan's "Cabinet counties", named for members of Jackson's Cabinet.

Taconic State Park is located in Columbia and Dutchess County, New York abutting Massachusetts and Connecticut within the Taconic Mountains. The state park is located off New York State Route 344 south of Interstate 90 and 110 miles (180 km) north of New York City. It features camping, hiking, bicycling, hunting, cross county skiing and other recreational opportunities.
Kittatinny Valley State Park is located in Andover Township and extends into Andover Borough, New Jersey. Features include Glacial lakes, limestone outcroppings, former railroads, and a small airport. Lake Aeroflex and Gardner's Pond form part of the headwaters of the Pequest River and are excellent for fishing and boating. The park is home to a variety of wildlife such as whitetail deer, wild turkeys, a variety of songbirds, beavers, muskrats, and squirrels. The park is operated and maintained by the New Jersey Division of Parks and Forestry.
The Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge is a 14,000-acre (5,666 ha) National Wildlife Refuge in eastern and central Minnesota. Located just south of the city of Minneapolis, it is one of fourteen Regional Priority Urban Wildlife Refuges in the nation. Many parts of the Refuge are near large establishments of the Twin Cities; the Bloomington Education and Visitor Center and two trailheads are located just blocks from the Mall of America, the Wilkie Unit is just east of Valleyfair and the Louisville Swamp Unit is just south of Minnesota Renaissance Festival.
White Clay Creek Preserve is a 3,050-acre (1,230 ha) Pennsylvania state park along the valley of White Clay Creek in London Britain Township in Chester County, Pennsylvania in the United States. The park was donated by the DuPont Company in 1984 for the purpose of "preserving the diverse and unique plant and animal species, and the rich cultural heritage of the area". Dupont also donated an additional 528 acres (214 ha) for the adjoining White Clay Creek State Park to the state of Delaware. White Clay Creek Preserve is 3 miles (4.8 km) north of Newark, Delaware on Pennsylvania Route 896.
The Quinebaug River is a river in south-central Massachusetts and eastern Connecticut, with watershed extending into western Rhode Island. The name "Quinebaug" comes from the southern New England Native American term, spelled variously Qunnubbâgge, Quinibauge, etc., meaning "long pond", from qunni-, "long", and -paug, "pond". The river is one of the namesake rivers in the Quinebaug and Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor.
The Skunk River Greenbelt is a public/private partnership supporting a 10 mile long trail system between Story City and Ames in central Iowa.
Fish Farm Mounds State Preserve is a 3-acre (12,000 m2) archaeological mound group containing Native American burials in the U.S. state of Iowa. It is located within the larger Fish Farms Mounds Wildlife area, a state owned hunting area a few miles south of New Albin, just inland from the Upper Mississippi River in Allamakee County.
The Little Maquoketa River Mounds State Preserve is an Iowa state owned archaeological site and natural area located within the city of Sageville, just north of Dubuque, on U.S. Highway 52.
Cannondale is a census-designated place (CDP) within the town of Wilton in Fairfield County, Connecticut. It had a population of 141 at the 2010 census. The neighborhood consists of many old homes on large, almost rural lots now largely wooded. The English first settled the land in the 17th century. At the center of Cannondale is Cannon Crossing, a small shopping village of boutiques and restaurants made up of 19th-century buildings restored by actress June Havoc in the late 1970s on the east side of Cannondale Railroad Station. Both are part of Cannondale Historic District, which encompasses the central part of Cannondale and most of its significant historical buildings.

Peabody Preserve is a 40-acre (0.16 km2) natural land area located in between the Hudson River and Fremont Pond, in Sleepy Hollow, New York, United States. The Preserve contains hiking trails, multiple habitats, wetlands, a retaining pool and diverse species of flora and fauna. The Reserve was created to protect and restore native ecological communities and wetlands, serve as an outdoor classroom for students and teachers, and provide recreational opportunities to all visitors.
The Trexler Nature Preserve is an 1,108-acre county park (448 ha) owned and maintained by Lehigh County in the Lehigh Valley region of Pennsylvania. The preserve is situated in Lowhill Township and North Whitehall Township and the land that comprises the preserve was originally purchased between 1901 and 1911 by local industrialist General Harry Clay Trexler.
