Unity Environmental University is a private university based in New Gloucester, Maine, with an additional campus in Unity and facilities in Moose River and Thorndike. It offers undergraduate and graduate education based on sustainability science that emphasizes study of the environment and natural resources. Initially founded as a residential school in Unity, Maine, the university expanded into online education in 2016 which grew both its enrollment and number of academic programs. The university moved its online program to the historic Pineland Farms campus in New Gloucester in 2019 and later relocated their administrative headquarters there. Unity Environmental University operates both an online-only program and a hybrid program with on-campus courses in New Gloucester and Unity. It also operates a farm and indoor growing facility in Thorndike and an outdoor center in Moose River.
Navajo Preparatory School is a college preparatory school located in Farmington, New Mexico. The school is fully sanctioned by the Navajo Nation since 1991 when the previous Navajo Academy closed due to lack of funding. The campus is currently undergoing a remodelling project for the past few years that includes new dormitories, classrooms, and an athletic sports complex. The school colors are black, turquoise, yellow, and white which represent the four seasons in Navajo Culture and the mascot is the eagle. The previous school colors for Navajo Mission and Navajo Academy were red, white, and blue. In 2021- 2022 school year, the school color will go back to red, white, and blue.
In 1918, Bloomington, Minnesota opened its first secondary school, Bloomington High School at 10025 Penn Ave. S., the school remaining at this location until a new building opened in the fall of 1957. The new Bloomington High School at with the adjacent Bloomington Stadium, was renamed Abraham Lincoln Senior High School in 1965 when a second high school, John F. Kennedy Senior High School opened. The original location, then known as the "annex", served as the tenth grade school for 1000 sophomores prior to the second high school. Robert Vinatieri was the tenth grade principal.
Mindquest (1995–2003) was the first online public high school in the United States. It operated through the Bloomington Public Schools in Bloomington, Minnesota, and was created in 1995 by Kevin Byrne within the South Hennepin Adult Programs in Education (SHAPE), a program started in 1978 for adult and alternative school within the Bloomington Public Schools. Mindquest operated until the end of 2003, when the Bloomington Schools closed it in favor of a regional distance learning program.
East Phillips is a neighborhood within the Phillips community in Minneapolis. Its northern boundary runs along East 24th Street from Bloomington Avenue to 17th Avenue South, then runs along East 22nd Street from 17th Avenue South to Little Earth Trail and Hiawatha Avenue. Its other boundaries are Hiawatha Avenue to the east, East Lake Street to the south, and Bloomington Avenue to the west.
