The Universidad Columbia del Paraguay (Columbia University of Paraguay) is a private university. It was founded in 1943, but it obtained the title of university only in 1991. In 60 years it had more than 200,000 students.

Estadio Defensores del Chaco is a multi-purpose stadium in Asunción, Paraguay. It is currently used mostly for football matches. On 27 January 2016, Paraguayan Newspaper La Nación had reported that Carlos Echeverría Estigarribia, the elected intendent of the city of Luque, states his intention of wanting Luque to be one of the most important cities.
