The University College of Engineering Tindivanam (UCET) is part of Anna University Chennai. It was founded in 2018 and was inaugurated by Dr M. Karunanithi, the then-honorable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, on September 1, 2008. [1] University College of Engineering Tindivanam is a constituent college of Anna University Chennai (AUC). The first-year classes for the Engineering students were initiated on September 8, 2008, in the presence of Dr. K. Ponmudy, Honorable Minister of Higher Education, Tamil Nadu, and Dr. R. Raju, Special Officer of UCET. It is proposed that the Regional Research Centre at UCET be started.
UCET was started with four Departments. They are:

Aarani, officially spelled as Arni, and also known as Periya Aarani, is a major commercial, industrial and cultural hub and also a divisional headquarter in the Thiruvanamalai district of Tamil Nadu, India. University College of Engineering, Anna University Tiruchirappalli otherwise Anna University Chennai – Regional Office, Tiruchirappalli (AUC-ROT), erstwhile Anna University of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, is a technical university department of Anna University, It is located on Tiruchirappalli–Pudukkottai National Highway 336, Tamil Nadu, India. It was established on 1999 as a part of Bharathidasan University with five departments viz., Bio-Technology, Petrochemical Technology, Information Technology and Pharmaceutical Technology. In 2007, due to management constrains Anna University was split into six universities, namely: Anna University, Chennai; Anna University, Chennai – Taramani Campus; Anna University Chennai - Regional Office, Coimbatore; Anna University Chennai - Regional Office, Madurai; Anna University Chennai – Regional Office, Tiruchirappalli; Anna University Chennai - Regional Office, Tirunelveli. Government acquired this campus from Bharathidasan University and renamed it as Anna University Tiruchirappalli in 2007.The university is an accredited university with powers to grant affiliations to colleges and universities conducting graduate and post graduate studies, as well as diploma courses, and is so recognized by the UGC.

It is accredited by the NBA for most of its courses and by the Government of Tamil Nadu.
