The University College of Engineering and Technology (UCET) is one of the constituent colleges of The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB).

The college offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering and Computer Systems Engineering. More than 1000 students graduates each year from this college.

History

UCET started its undergraduate program in electronic engineering in 1999 and the first batch passed out in 2003. Later in 2005, college started its degree program in computer systems engineering and in 2007 two more degree programs started in electrical engineering and telecommunications engineering fields. Programs are accredited by the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).

The Pakistan Engineering Council is a professional body for accreditation of engineering education and regulation of engineering profession in Pakistan. Established in 1976 by the PEC 1976 Act of the Constitution of Pakistan, it represents the engineering community in the country and assists the Government of Pakistan at the federal and provincial levels.
