University High School is a public, four-year high school located in Orange City, Florida, United States. Established in 2010, it is the newest high school established in Volusia County since 1994, as well as its costliest. [2] As of 2010, it was the largest high school in Volusia County by enrollment.
The new school opened on August 16, 2010. About 500 students at the new high school come from DeBary, about 500 from Orange City, another 250 from the unincorporated area around Orange City, and about 900 from Deltona. The school did not have a senior class for its 2010–2011 school year. The school has an elaborate advanced-placement program.
University High School is partnered with the University of Central Florida, Stetson University, and Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in sponsoring two academies, the STEM Academy (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), and the Academy of Finance. Stetson has an advisory role in the program. For the 2016–2017 school year, University High School had 2,824 students enrolled.

The Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra is Central Florida's resident professional orchestra, appearing in more than 125 performances each season. Founded in 1993. At over $4 million, the Orlando Philharmonic has the largest endowment of any arts institution in Central Florida. James S. Rickards High School is a public high school in Tallahassee, Florida, United States. It is a part of Leon County Schools. The school's mascot, originally the Rickards Redskins, was changed to the Rickards Raiders in 2000 because of controversy over the racial connotations of the term "redskin". The school was established in 2003 in order to relieve crowding at nearby Cypress Creek High School; like other relief high schools, they share a rivalry. Spec Martin Stadium is a 6,000 seat football stadium located in DeLand, Florida. Spec Martin Stadium currently hosts Stetson Hatters football, DeLand High School Bulldog football and was the host of the Central Florida Warriors rugby league team. The stadium was known as DeLand Municipal Stadium from is opening in 1941 until it was renamed in 1973.
