Bahçeşehir University (BAU) is a private educational institution in Turkey, located around the Bosporus in Istanbul. The Turkish National Assembly authorized the establishment of the University of Bahçeşehir by the Bahçeşehir Uğur Education Foundation in 1998. An academic and strategic protocol was signed shortly after with San Diego State University in California, USA. The enrollment of the first students was made after the first placement exam (ÖSYS) in the 1999–2000 academic year. The university is one of the few universities in Turkey which has its lectures in English and therefore students applying to BAU are required to have high English proficiency.
The Universidad Tecnológica de México (UNITEC) is a private university located in Mexico City, with campuses in the states of Guanajuato, Jalisco, México, and Querétaro. It offers high school, bachelor, and postgraduate programs. Ignacio Guerra Pellegaud founded it in 1966 and since 2008 is part of the Laureate International Universities Network. Western Caspian University is a private university in Baku, Azerbaijan. Founded in 1991 by Husein Baghirov, it has six schools, 25 majors, 180 faculty and approximately 1500 students. The university took its name because it is modeled after Western universities in style of teaching and values, the latter in response to some of the corrupt practices under the Soviet system. Much of the teaching is conducted in English.
The Technical University of Liberec is a university in the city of Liberec, Czech Republic. The university has undergone great transformation in its over sixty-year history. When it was founded, it was called the Institute of Mechanical Engineering in Liberec, and its original classrooms were located in the attics of the F. X. Šalda Grammar School. These later served as accommodation for teachers, and it was here that the first plans and ideas arose concerning the later form and direction of the college. The first 259 students were admitted on October 1, 1953.
Kaunas University of Technology is a public research university located in Kaunas, Lithuania. Established in 1922, KTU has been seen as one of Lithuania's top science education centers. According to rankings conducted in 2021, KTU was the second-best university in Lithuania. The Faculty of Technical Sciences is a higher education institution located in Novi Sad, an independent part of the University of Novi Sad. Industrial and production engineering includes three areas: Mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, and management science.
The Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Dresden – University of Applied Sciences is a university of applied sciences and, after the Technical University Dresden, the second largest university of the city of Dresden (Saxony). It offers 36 study programmes in engineering, design, economics and the environment.
Universum College is a university in Prishtina, Kosovo. It was founded in 2005. The university offers 15 undergraduate programs and 8 graduate programs. Studies can be offered with dual study memberships or double degrees with EU universities for specific studies. The college as a higher education provider is accredited by the Kosovo Accreditation Agency. The university is partnered up with 152 universities within the Erasmus+ program. Universum College is also accredited by the University of Northampton to offer programs with English curricula and standards. Students who attend these programs will receive a University of Northampton degree. UON is one of the universities listed in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF).
Arab American University is the first private university in the State of Palestine. AAUP was founded in the year 2000 and it provides BA, MA and PhD degree programs. The main campus is located near Talfit at the south of Jenin Governorate, and the other campuses are located, in the Al- Reehan area in Ramallah and al-Bireh Governorate of the Palestine.
