The untitled Insidious sequel is an upcoming American supernatural horror film directed by Jacob Chase and co-written with David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick. It is the sequel to Insidious: The Red Door (2023) and the sixth film in the Insidious film series. It stars Brandon Perea, Lin Shaye, Amelia Eve, Maisie Richardson-Sellers and Sam Spruell.

Production

In May 2024, Sony Pictures revealed that the sixth Insidious film was in development. [1] In September 2025, it was reported that Jacob Chase would direct the film and co-write the script with David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick. Lin Shaye, Amelia Eve, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Sam Spruell and Island Austin joined the cast. [2] [3] Brandon Perea has been cast as a lead role. [4]

Principal photography began in Australia on September 15, 2025. [3]

Release

The untitled film is scheduled to be released in the United States on August 21, 2026. [5] It was originally scheduled to be released on August 29, 2025, [1] [6] but was removed from the release schedule in December 2024. [7]
