Uriel Flores Aguayo (born 6 May 1959) is a Mexican politician affiliated with the Party of the Democratic Revolution (PRD). In the 2012 general election he was elected to the Chamber of Deputies to represent the tenth district of Veracruz during the 62nd Congress. He had previously served in the 57th and 60th sessions of the Congress of Veracruz. [1]

Pedro Aguayo Ramírez was a Mexican professional wrestler and promoter who achieved fame in wrestling as Perro Aguayo Jr. or El Hijo del Perro Aguayo. He was the real-life son of lucha libre legend Perro Aguayo and not a storyline "Junior". Aguayo was best known as the leader of the Los Perros del Mal stable, which he started in Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) in mid-2004. The stable became a significant draw in Mexican professional wrestling, peaking during Aguayo's storyline rivalries with Místico and Héctor Garza. In October 2008, Aguayo left CMLL to start his own independent professional wrestling promotion Perros del Mal Producciones, built around members of his Los Perros del Mal stable. In June 2010, Aguayo returned to AAA after a seven-year absence to start an invasion storyline involving his stable.

Jesús Reyes González is a Mexican Luchador, or professional wrestler, best known under the ring name Máscara Año 2000 or Máscara Año Dos Mil. His ring name is Spanish for "Mask of the year 2000", originally referring to the mask Reyes wore while wrestling. Reyes was forced to unmask when he lost a Lucha de Apuesta to Perro Aguayo in 1993. Throughout his career Reyes has often teamed with his two brothers Carmelo, who wrestles as Cien Caras and the late Andrés, who wrestled as Universo 2000, the three were collectively known as Los Hermanos Dinamita or Los Capos when they teamed with Apolo Dantés. Verano de Escándalo (2010) was a major professional wrestling event produced by AAA, which took place on August 14, 2010. It was originally scheduled to take place at Arena Monterrey in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico but due to Nuevo León suffering damage from Hurricane Alex the show was moved to Plaza de Toros la Concordia in Orizaba, Veracruz. The show was the 14th show promoted under the Verano de Escándalo name. The title is Spanish for "Summer of Scandal" and has been AAA's annual summer show since 1997. It featured a double main event with the first match being a three way match for the AAA Mega Championship with reigning champion Dr. Wagner Jr. successfully defending against his brother Silver King and Vampiro. The other main event is a "AAA vs. Perros del Mal" six man tag team match pitting AAA representatives La Parka, Cibernético and El Mesias against Perros Perro Aguayo Jr., L.A. Park and Damián 666 which Los Perros del Mal won when Perro Aguayo Jr. pinned El Mesias. The show also saw the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship change hands as Mari Apache won the title from Sexy Star.

Nuestra Belleza México 2002, the 9th Nuestra Belleza México pageant, was held at the World Trade Center of Boca del Río, Veracruz, Mexico on September 6, 2002. Thirty-three contestants of the Mexican Republic competed for the national title, which was won by Marisol González from Coahuila, who later competed in Miss Universe 2003 in Panamá. González was crowned by outgoing Nuestra Belleza México titleholder Ericka Cruz and Christiane Martel Miss Universe 1953. She is the first and only Coahuilense to win this title.

A moment magnitude 6.3–6.4 earthquake affected parts of Puebla and Veracruz, Mexico, on 3 January 1920 at 22:25 CST. A maximum Mercalli-Cancani intensity of XI–XII (Extreme) was recorded in the epicenter, between Chilchotla and Patlanalán. The earthquake killed between 648 and 4,000 people; many deaths were attributed to mudslides that swept through settlements along the Huitzilapa and Pescado rivers. Many buildings were badly damaged or totally ruined. The towns of Patlanalá, Barranca Grande, Cosautlán, Quimixtlán and Teocelo were severely affected. The cost of damage was estimated at US$25,000,000.
