Usha Khadgi is a Nepalese model, television presenter, beauty pageant title holder and business woman. In 2000, she was titled with the seventh Miss Nepal. [1]

Biography

Khadgi was born in Birgunj, Nepal to father Uttam Bahadur Khadgi and mother Urmila Khadgi.

She was the First Runner-up of Miss Pokhara 1999 and later she took part in Miss Birgunj in 2000 and won the title of the First Runner-up. In the same year, she took part in Miss Nepal 2000 and won the Miss Nepal title. She is the seventh Miss Nepal and the second winner from Birgunj, after Ruby Rana.

Since 2022, she started hosting the fourth season of a talk show titled Aama on News 24 channel. [2] Each episode of the show features a Nepalese celebrity with their mother. [3] [4] The show has featured various actors, comedian and singers, such as Priyanka Karki, Jeetu Nepal, etc.

She also owns a business named, Usha's Stylish Collection, [5] a fashion designer clothing and boutique.

Personal life

She married GP Timalsena, a media person in 2003. They separated after 17 years of marriage in 2020. [6] They have a daughter and a son. [7]

She made her acting debut in the Nepali film First Love (2010). She then acted in Mero Love Story and Highway in 2011. The most successful box office movie of 2012 Loot marked a turning point in her acting career. She acted in a youth-focused movie Visa Girl in 2012, and critically acclaimed 2014 film Talakjung vs Tulke. In 2015, she played the role of a cop in the featured film Zindagi Rocks. She is also one of the judges of Nepali comedy reality show Comedy Champion.

Ten contestants, who qualified through the audions held countrywide, competed for the title, of whom a 26-year-old media personality from Kathmandu, Urussa Joshi, was named the winner, and received रु50,000 rupee cash and a Suzuki scooter as the prize, while the first and the second runners-up, Eksha Maden of Dhangadhi and Riya Gaihre of Lalitpur, obtained cash of रु30,000 and रु20,000 rupee, respectively. Urussa Joshi then represented Nepal at Miss Grand International 2018 held later that year on October 25 in Myanmar, but she got a non-placement.
