Ushirombo is a town in the Geita Region in northwestern Tanzania. The town is the location of the district headquarters for Bukombe District. In 2016, its population was 95,052. [1]

The Geita Gold Mine is an open pit gold mine located in the Geita District of the Geita Region of Tanzania. It is operated by AngloGold Ashanti.

The Kigosi National Park (Hifadhi ya Taifa ya Kigosi, In Swahili) is a national park located in Shinyanga Region, Geita Region and northwest Tabora Region of Tanzania. In 2019, Kigosi National Park was created. Kigosi National Park was established in 2019. It is a part of the Moyowosi/Malagarasi wetlands complex, which is the largest wetlands complex in East Africa, and has an area of 8,265 km2. The Malagarasi, Moyowosi, Nikonga, Ugalla, Kigosi, Nikonga, and Gombe are seven slow-moving rivers that meander through a vast and intricate network of marshes, plains lakes, and woodlands. These rivers should not be confused with the Gombe Stream National Park where the chimpanzees live. These rivers eventually combine to form the Malagarasi River, which empties into Ilagala's Lake Tanganyika. With a total area of almost 92,000 square kilometers, the wetland system is larger than the entire country of Portugal.

Sumbwa is an Eastern Bantu language, classified as F.23 by Malcolm Guthrie (1948). According to this classification, the language is assumed to be related to Kinyamwezi, Kisukuma, Kinilamba, Kirimi and other languages of Zone F (Guthrie 1948; 1967-71, although Nurse and Philippson 1980 and Maselle suggested that the language has had much influence from neighbouring languages. Quick inspection of the vocabulary shows that Sisumbwa appears to be closer to Nyamwezi than to any other language in the group. In terms of contacts, Sisumbwa speakers say that for a long time they have been in contact with speakers of Kisubi, Kirongo and Kizinza and Kiha, in addition to Kinyamwezi and Kisukuma.

Geita Airport is a small regional airport in northern Tanzania serving the city of Geita. It is located near the south western shores of Lake Victoria approximately 14 kilometres (8.7 mi) from the city Chato. The airport has the longest runway and only asphalt runway in the Geita Region.
