Nyeri is a town situated in the Central Highlands of Kenya. It is the county headquarters of Nyeri County. The town was the central administrative headquarters of the country's former Central Province. Following the dissolution of the former provinces by Kenya's new constitution on 26 August 2010, the city is situated about 150 km north of Kenya's capital Nairobi, in the country's densely populated and fertile Central Highlands, lying between the eastern base of the Aberdare (Nyandarua) Range, which forms part of the eastern end of the Great Rift Valley, and the western slopes of Mount Kenya.

Kikuyu is a town in Kiambu County, Kenya, which grew from a settlement of colonial missionaries. The town is located about 20 km (12 mi) northwest of central Nairobi. It is about 20 minutes from Nairobi via a number of routes, including a dual carriage road, and has a railway station on the Mombasa – Malaba Railway Line. The town is named after the Kikuyu/Gĩkũyũ people, the major ethnicity that settled in the area. As of 2019, the total population was 323,881.

Mean Machine RFC is a Rugby union club based in Nairobi, Kenya. It is the representative side of the University of Nairobi and was founded in 1977 during the time when rugby union in Kenya was predominantly played by white settlers and expats. The club features the best students in Kenya who join the university and they come from various University campuses i.e. Main Campus, Chiromo Campus, Parklands Campus, Lower Kabete Campus, Upper Kabete Campus, Kenya Science Campus as well as Mombasa Campus. In their inaugural year, they won the Kenya Cup. Mean Machine has also won the KRU championship twice, in 2018 and 2022 and also won the inaugural Varsity Cup League. During the 1980s the club was forced to close due to political pressure after the 1982 coup d'état attempt, and many players would have to play for other clubs.
Kangemi is a slum in Kenya located, like many other slums in Nairobi, on the outskirts of the city. It is bordered on the north by the middle-class neighbourhoods of Loresho and Kibagare and Westlands on the west. Its southern border connects with Kawangware, another large slum and its eastern border connects to Mountain View, another middle-class enclave. It is on the road connecting Nairobi with Naivasha. Kangemi likely has more than 100,000 residents. While it is a multi-ethnic slum, the largest group of residents consists of the Luhya tribe.

Kitisuru is a residential suburb of Nairobi. The name Kitisuru comes from a nearby river "Gĩtathuru" which was borrowed from the original inhabitants of the area who were mainly of the Kikuyu ethnic group. Kitisuru forms part of Kitisuru Ward, an electoral division within Nairobi City County.
Ferdinard Ndungu Waititu, also known as Baba Yao, is a Kenyan politician who served as the second governor of Kiambu County from 2016 to January 2020. He was impeached on corruption charges. His troubles started after it was learnt he was involved in a scheme of grabbing land from a widow worth over one million dollars amongst other fraudulent activities. He is currently awaiting trial for the mismanagement of county fund of over five million dollars. He also served as an assistant minister for Water Services and Irrigation in the government of Kenya.

The headquarters of the church is located in Nairobi, Kenya. The current Moderator is Rev. Dr Joseph Mutei installed on Sunday 26th June 2022.
Jackson Nasoore Ole Sapit is a Kenyan Anglican bishop. He was elected as the sixth archbishop and primate of the Anglican Church of Kenya on 20 May 2016 and was installed on 3 July 2016 at All Saints Cathedral in Nairobi.
