Acharya Shri Vidyasagarji Maharaj is one of the best-known modern Digambara Jain Acharya. He is recognized both for his scholarship and tapasya (austerity). He is known for his long hours in meditation. While he was born in Karnataka and took diksha in Rajasthan, he generally spends much of his time in the Bundelkhand region where he is credited with having brought about a revival in educational and religious activities. He has written haiku poems and the epic Hindi poem "Mukamati". His life is the subject of the 2018 documentary film Vidyoday released by Landmark Films.

The Allahabad Metro, officially known as Prayagraj Metro, is a proposed rapid transit system for the city of Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. The proposed system will consist of two lines, an east-west line from Bamrauli to Jhunsi, and a north-south line from Shantipuram in Phaphamau to Naini. Both lines will be about 20 kilometres (12 mi) long. There will be a total of 39 stations, 20 on the east-west line and 19 on the north-south line. The project is expected to cost ₹8000 crore.

Prof. Kamla Srivastava is an Indian folk music singer. She retired as assistant professor in Musicology-cum-practical of Bhatkhande Music Institute, deemed university of Lucknow. An artiste much in demand and invited to sing at programs throughout the month, she comes from the family of artists and poets. She sings folk, light and classical music at All India Radio, Doordarshan and Sri Lanka Radio. She is also a poetess and writes lyrics in Awadhi, Bhojpuri and Hindi.
