The V-League 4th Season 1st Conference is a tournament of the Shakey's V-League . The tournament began last May 17, 2007 and ended on July 3, 2007, with the UST Tigresses winning two games to none against the SSC-R Lady Stags.

Finals Berth Playoffs

San Sebastian College - Recoletos and De La Salle University faced-off in a playoff match to determine who will get the last finals slot.

The other slot had already been taken by University of Santo Tomas ; winning 8 out of 11 games and sweeping the semi-finals game. They lost by only a single set to Ateneo de Manila University .

San Sebastian College - Recoletos won also 8 out of 11 games all in all but failed to win 3 out of 4 games in the semi-finals. De La Salle University , even though they won only 6 out of 11 games, had been given a chance for a playoffs against San Sebastian College - Recoletos because they won 3 semi-final games out of 4 games.

Lyceum of the Philippines University and Ateneo de Manila University had been eliminated in the finals contention for failing to win three wins out of four games and with a lower standing than University of Santo Tomas , San Sebastian College - Recoletos and De La Salle University .

Among the eight teams this season, Adamson University , Far Eastern University and Colegio de San Juan de Letran were the first ones to be eliminated.

San Sebastian College - Recoletos had defeated De La Salle University and denied them the chance to have a 4-peat championship to face the University of Santo Tomas for the Finals. The Finals will feature the UAAP CHAMPION University of Santo Tomas and the NCAA CHAMPION San Sebastian College - Recoletos , the two most prestigious collegiate leagues in the Philippines. The reign and dominance of De La Salle University has ended and not to mention both University of Santo Tomas and San Sebastian College - Recoletos are the losing finalists to then mighty and powerful De La Salle University squad in the past seasons.

The NCAA basketball championships are the basketball championships of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (Philippines) (NCAA). There are two tournaments, usually held at the same time, the seniors' tournament for male collegiate students, and the juniors' tournament for male senior high school students. If a school wins both championships in one season, it said that they have won the "double championship."

The University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) volleyball tournament is divided into four divisions, namely men's, women's, boys' and girls'. Volleyball is a mandatory sport in the women's division. The UAAP volleyball tournament was held in the first semester of the school year until the UAAP Board decided to move it to the second semester in Season 69. This decision was made so that the games can be televised to improve its popularity.

The V-League 2nd Conference is a tournament of the Shakey's V-League. The tournament began on April 22, 2006. The tournament was won by the La Salle Lady Archers over the San Sebastian Lady Stags on July 2, 2006 two games to none.

The V-League 4th Season 2nd Conference is a tournament of the Shakey's V-League. The tournament began last October 14, 2007 at The Arena in San Juan. It ended last December 4, 2007 with the University of Santo Tomas Tigresses winning yet again against the first runner-up team from the 1st conference San Sebastian College - Recoletos Lady Stags in a dramatic 5-set game 3 finals match. These resulted in a back-to-back championship winning streak for the UST Tigresses as they are the defending champions from the 1st conference.

The V-League 5th Season 1st Conference is a tournament of the Shakey's V-League. The tournament began on March 30, 2008 and ended on May 30, 2008 at The Arena in the city of San Juan.

The V-League 5th Season 2nd Conference is a tournament of the Shakey's V-League. The tournament began on October 19, 2008 at The Arena in the city of San Juan.

The 1st Conference of the 6th Season of the Philippines Shakey's V-League started on April 19, 2009, at the Filoil Flying V Arena. Teams included defending champion and current NCAA champion San Sebastian, UAAP runner-up FEU, NCRAA champion Lyceum. Two Visayan teams, CESAFI champion USJ-R, and USLS, joined at the quarterfinals. UAAP champion La Salle decided not to compete and took a leave of absence; UP replaced the Lady Archers to complete the eight-team elimination round roster.

The 1st Conference of the 7th Season of the Shakey's V-League was held in April 2010 at the Filoil Flying V Arena. Second Conference shall be governed by the FIVB Official Volleyball Rules. The participating teams is the same as the last conference, but without the two Visayan teams.

The 2nd Conference of the 7th Season of the Shakey's V-League in volleyball will be held from July 11, 2010 to late September at the Filoil Flying V Arena. Second Conference shall be governed by the FIVB Official Volleyball Rules. 3-time champions University of Santo Tomas Tigresses refused to defend their crown and it paved the way for the entry of two new schools, National University and University of Perpetual Help System Dalta. San Sebastian College, Far Eastern University, and Lyceum of the Philippines University maintain their perfect league attendance. Other participating teams include UAAP powerhouses Ateneo de Manila University and Adamson University and NCAA Runner-up College of Saint Benilde.

UAAP Season 74 was the 2011–2012 athletic year of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines. It was hosted by Ateneo de Manila University. The men's basketball and the women's volleyball tournaments were aired by ABS-CBN Channel 2 and Studio 23 for the twelfth consecutive year. The opening ceremony was held on July 9, 2011 at the Marikina Sports Center.

The seniors' division of the UAAP Season 74 volleyball tournaments opened November 26, 2011. Tournaments are hosted by Ateneo de Manila University. Tournament games are held at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan City.

The Shakey's V-League 9th Season: 1st Conference is the sixteenth conference of Shakey's V-League, a collegiate women's volleyball league in the Philippines founded in 2004. The opening ceremonies was held on April 24, 2012, with the first doubleheader of volleyball games at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan. After a two-year hiatus, the Tigresses of the University of Santo Tomas, the winningest team of the league, participates the conference with other nine teams.

The Shakey's V-League 10th Season: 1st Conference is the eighteenth conference of Shakey's V-League, a collegiate women's volleyball league in the Philippines founded in 2004. The opening ceremonies was held on April 7, 2013 with the first doubleheader of volleyball games at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan. There are three new teams who are participating in this season, they are the Arellano University Lady Chiefs, De La Salle University - Dasmariñas Lady Patriots, and the University of San Carlos Lady Warriors. This three new teams will face the seven current participating teams like ADMU, AdU, UST, NU, SSC-R, UPHSD and CSJL.

UAAP Season 79 is the 2016–2017 athletic year of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP). This season, hosted by the University of Santo Tomas officially opened on September 3, 2016. The opening ceremony was held at the UST Plaza Mayor at 3:00 pm with the formal introduction of ballroom dancing as a demonstration sport in this season by the host school University of Santo Tomas (UST) at España, Manila. The official ceremony started at 5:00 pm as there was a concert party themed "Dare to Dream" where the official theme song for the season was revealed. However, unlike in the previous years when the first double-header basketball games were held following the opening ceremonies, this year it was held the following day, September 4 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The UST Golden Tigresses are the women's collegiate varsity volleyball team of the University of Santo Tomas. They compete in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP). Their current head coach is the former Golden Spiker Kungfu Reyes who is also the coach of their junior girls’ volleyball program.
