Valley View Middle School (VVMS) is a middle school that operates in Pleasant Hill, California as part of the Mount Diablo Unified School District. [1]
It is located directly next to College Park High School and Diablo Valley College. In the 2025-2026 academic year it had about 785 students. [2] [3] The school was founded in 1963 as the area was developing.
The school has formerly held wrestling under the name Pleasant Hill Wrestling which ended 2014. [4] [5]
VVMS features a gym, a workshop and a multi-use room.[ citation needed ] In 1989, voters approved MDUSD Measure A to renovate the gym. [6] It has been named after Cory Salmon, who was the founder of Pleasant Hill Wrestling and PE coach at VVMS. [5] [4]
The workshop program is only available to 7th and 8th graders and is located in the Joseph Notarangelo Industrial Arts Center, a school building. [1]
