Vamuzo Phesao was a Naga politician. He became the Chief Minister of Nagaland in 1990. His government was dismissed and President's rule was imposed in 1992
Phesao was born in 1938. He married Sano Vamuzo who was a social worker. [1]

The Bharat Ratna is the highest civilian award of the Republic of India. Instituted on 2 January 1954,the award is conferred in recognition of "exceptional service/performance of the highest order",without distinction of race,occupation,position or gender. The award was originally limited to achievements in the arts,literature,science,and public services,but the Government of India expanded the criteria to include "any field of human endeavor" in December 2011. The recommendations for the award are made by the Prime Minister to the President. The recipients receive a Sanad (certificate) signed by the President and a peepal leaf-shaped medallion. Bharat Ratna recipients rank seventh in the Indian order of precedence.
The Padma Vibhushan is the second-highest civilian award of the Republic of India,after the Bharat Ratna. Instituted on 2 January 1954,the award is given for "exceptional and distinguished service". All persons without distinction of race,occupation,position or sex are eligible for these awards. However,government servants including those working with public sector undertakings,except doctors and scientists,are not eligible for these Awards. As of 2024,the award has been bestowed on 336 individuals,including thirty-one posthumous and twenty-one non-citizen recipients.

In India,President's rule is the suspension of state government and imposition of direct Union government rule in a state. Under Article 356 of the Constitution of India,if a state government is unable to function according to Constitutional provisions,the Union government can take direct control of the state machinery. Subsequently,executive authority is exercised through the centrally appointed governor,who has the authority to appoint other administrators to assist them. The administrators are usually nonpartisan retired civil servants not native to the state.

Shri Krishna Singh (Sinha) (21 October 1887 –31 January 1961),also known as Shri Babu,was the first chief minister of the Indian state of Bihar (1946–61). Except for the period of World War II,Sinha was the chief minister of Bihar from the time of the first Congress Ministry in 1937 until his death in 1961. Along with the Desh Ratna Rajendra Prasad and Bihar Vibhuti Anugrah Narayan Sinha (A.N. Sinha),Sinha is regarded among the architects of modern Bihar. He also led the Dalit entry into the Baidyanath Dham temple (Vaidyanath Temple,Deoghar). He was the first chief minister in the country to abolish the zamindari system. He underwent terms of imprisonment for a total of about eight years in British India. Sinha's mass meetings brought many people to hear him. He was known as Bihar Kesari for his "lionlike roars" in public speaking. His close friend and Gandhian Bihar Vibhuti A.N. Sinha in his essay Mere Shri Babu wrote that,"Since 1921,the History of Bihar has been the history of the life of Shri Babu". The 'Bihar Kesari' never visited his constituency to ask for votes as he believed that his work will speak for him.
Siddhartha Shankar Ray was an Indian lawyer,diplomat and Indian National Congress politician from West Bengal. In his political career he held a number of offices,including Chief Minister of West Bengal (1972–77),Union Minister of Education (1971–72),Governor of Punjab (1986–89) and Indian Ambassador to the United States (1992–96). Vijay Kumar Saraswat is an Indian scientist who formerly served as the Director General of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and the Chief Scientific Advisor to the Indian Minister of Defence. He retired as the Director General of the DRDO on 31 May 2013. Saraswat is presently a member of NITI Aayog,the Indian Government's apex public policy think tank and the President of Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology,Trivandrum. Ralengnao Khathing MC,MBE (1912–1990),also known as Bob Khathing,was an Indian soldier,civil servant and diplomat and the first person of tribal origin to serve as an Ambassador for India. The Government of India honoured him in 1957 with the award of Padma Shri,the fourth highest Indian civilian award for his services to the nation. Khathing led the first armed forces into Tawang that established Indian control in the region under the direct supervision of the then Assam governor Jairamdas Daulatram.
Natwar Thakkar,popularly known as Natwar Bhai,was an Indian social worker who worked in Nagaland. He came from Maharashtra but migrated to Nagaland for social work at the age of 23. He founded the Nagaland Gandhi Ashram at Chuchuyimlang village in the Mokokchung district of Nagaland. Because of his efforts to spread Gandhian philosophy in Nagaland and his social work,he was known as "Nagaland's Gandhi".
Vizol Vitso-n Koso was an Indian politician from Nagaland who served as the 4th Chief Minister of Nagaland twice from February 1974 until March 1975 and November 1977 until April 1980. He became the Chief Minister of Nagaland as part of the United Democratic Front (Nagaland).
V. Ramachandran (1931–2015) was an Indian civil servant,management expert and the chief secretary of the state of Kerala. He was a member of the Kerala State Planning Board and held the vice-chair of the United Nations Committee on Right to Development from 1980 to 1984. In 2016,the Government of India awarded him the Padma Shri,the fourth highest civilian honour,for his contribution to public affairs.
Padma Shri Piyong Temjen Jamir was a noted Hindi scholar and littérateur from Longsa village under Mokokchung district in Nagaland state of India. He was conferred the Padma Sri honour by the President of India,Ram Nath Kovind,in 2018 for the promotion of Hindi language and social work.
