The 23rd Vancouver Film Critics Circle Awards were presented on February 13, 2023, to honour the films selected by the Vancouver Film Critics Circle as the best of 2022. [1] [2] [3] [4]

The nominations were announced on January 22, 2023, with The Banshees of Inisherin and Everything Everywhere All at Once leading the International film nominations with seven each. Riceboy Sleeps received the most Canadian film nominations with nine, followed by Until Branches Bend with six and Brother with five. [5] [6] [7] [8]

Fire of Love is a 2022 independent documentary film about the lives and careers of volcanologists Katia and Maurice Krafft. Directed, written, and produced by Sara Dosa, the film had its world premiere at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival on January 20, 2022, where it won the Jonathan Oppenheim Editing Award. It was released on July 6, 2022, by National Geographic Documentary Films and Neon. It received acclaim from critics, and was nominated for Best Documentary Feature at the 95th Academy Awards.

Stephanie Ann Hsu is an American actress. She trained at NYU Tisch School of the Arts and began her career in experimental theatre before starring on Broadway, originating the roles of Christine Canigula in Be More Chill (2015–2019) and Karen the Computer in SpongeBob SquarePants: The Broadway Musical (2016–2017). On television, she is known for her recurring roles in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (2019–2023) and Awkwafina Is Nora from Queens (2020–2021).

<i>All the Beauty and the Bloodshed</i> 2022 American film

All the Beauty and the Bloodshed is a 2022 American biographical documentary film about photographer, artist, and activist Nan Goldin. Interspersed throughout the film is Goldin's most recent work in fighting the Sackler family for their role in causing the opioid epidemic. The film is produced, co-edited and directed by Laura Poitras. Poitras said, "Nan's art and vision has inspired my work for years, and has influenced generations of filmmakers."

The 35th Chicago Film Critics Association Awards were announced on December 14, 2022. The awards honor the best in film for 2022. The nominations were announced on December 12, 2022. Everything Everywhere All at Once received the most nominations (12), followed by The Banshees of Inisherin (7) and Aftersun (6).
