The nominations for the 15th Vancouver Film Critics Circle Awards, honoring the best in filmmaking in 2014, were announced on December 22, 2014. The winners were announced on January 5, 2015. [1] [2]

The story concerns a mother with a sometimes-violent teenage son, struggling to control his behaviour in a desperate attempt to avoid seeing him being institutionalized.

You're Sleeping Nicole is a 2014 Canadian drama film directed by Stéphane Lafleur. It was selected to be screened as part of the Directors' Fortnight section of the 2014 Cannes Film Festival. The film had a limited release on 22 August 2014, followed by a general Quebec theatrical release on 29 August 2014. It was screened in the Contemporary World Cinema section at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival.

The 4th Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts International Awards, are to be presented by the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA), a non-profit organisation whose aim is to identify, award, promote and celebrate Australia's greatest achievements in film and television. Awards will be handed out for the best films of 2014 regardless of the country of origin, and are the international counterpart to the awards for Australian films. The winners will be announced in Los Angeles, California on 31 January 2015 as part of the Australia Week event. The ceremony will be hosted by Nicole Kidman and Geoffrey Rush and broadcast in Australia on Arena on 1 February.

The 13th Washington D.C. Area Film Critics Association Awards were announced on December 8, 2014.

The 10th Austin Film Critics Association Awards, honoring the best in filmmaking for 2014, were announced on December 17, 2014.
