Vangara Venkata Subbaiah, better known as Vangara, was an actor of Telugu cinema. He acted in more than 100 films and in some plays.

Early life

He was born in Sangam Jagarlamudi near Tenali. He started his acting career in 1901 in the play Chitranalineeyam at the age of four years. [1] He has worked for sometime as teacher. He joined Rama Vilasa Sabha, Tenali and acted in many dramas portraying various roles. He toured India and abroad with Yadavalli Suryanarayana.

Kongara Jaggayya was an Indian actor, littérateur, journalist, lyricist, dubbing artist and politician known for his works predominantly in Telugu cinema and Telugu theatre. In a film career spanning forty years as a matinee idol, he starred in eighty films, as a lead actor, and lead antagonist in a variety of genres. In 1998, he received the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award - South, and the Raghupathi Venkaiah Award in 2001. Ramalingaiah appeared in over 1000 films in a variety of roles. The "Allu Ramalingaiah National Award" was instituted in his memory by the "Allu Ramalingaiah Academy of Arts". The award is presented every year to a Telugu film personality for life time achievement.

Hemalatha was an Indian actress of Telugu cinema, of Andhra Pradesh, India. She acted in more than 100 films during the 1950s to 1976. The first movie she acted was Palletooru. She retired from movies in 1976, with Seethamma Santhanam being the film she last appeared. After retiring from movies, she was involved in Brahma Kumaris movement in Hyderabad till her death.
