Rugby league is a popular team sport played in Fiji since 1992.
The Fiji National Rugby League runs the national domestic rugby league competition in Fiji. Known as the Vodafone Cup, the competition features 32 teams across two conferences, each with two zones. The competition was formed in 1998, and has been Fiji's top level rugby league competition ever since.
Rebecca Tavo is a former Australian triple international. She has represented Australia in rugby league, rugby sevens and touch. She has captained the Australian women's sevens team. She competed for Australia at the 2009 and 2013 Rugby World Cup Sevens. She also represented Fiji at the Rio Olympics.

The men's rugby sevens tournament at the 2016 Summer Olympics was held in Brazil. It was hosted at the Deodoro Stadium, a temporary outdoor stadium constructed as part of the Deodoro Modern Pentathlon Park in Rio de Janeiro. The tournament was held from 9 August to 11 August 2016, starting with group matches before finishing with the medal ceremony on 11 August. The 2016 Games marked the first time that rugby sevens has been played at the Olympics, and the first time since 1924 that any form of rugby had been played at the Olympics.

Savenaca Rawaca, OF is a Fijian rugby union player. Renowned for his physicality and aggressiveness on the rugby field, he earned the nickname "Pitbull". He is currently playing for the Fiji sevens team. Rawaca made his debut for Fiji 7s at the 2014 Gold Coast Sevens. In August 2016, he was a part of the Fiji sevens men's rugby team that won a gold medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
Adriu Delai is a Fijian Rugby union player. He is a Fijian international and has played for several French clubs in the Pro D2 and Fédérale 1. In 2016 he played against Georgia in a test match for their 2016 mid-year tour. He was selected to play in the 2016 Pacific Nations Cup.
Lavenia Tinai is a Fijian rugby union player. She represents Fiji in rugby sevens and made her debut in 2012. She was selected to represent Fiji at the 2016 Summer Olympics as a member of the Fiji women's sevens team. She is the sister of former Fiji 7's rep, Ilai Tinai.

According to Gareth Baber, the coach of the Fiji Sevens team: "Last year he [Mocenacagi] was a forward and this year we're using him in that centre position. He's a threat every time he gets the ball, he's a big powerful runner."

Napolioni Ratu Bolaca is a Fijian rugby sevens and rugby union player, who has played for the Fiji national rugby sevens team since 2019. At club level, he has played for Fijian Drua. Bolaca was the top point scorer in the 2019–20 World Rugby Sevens Series. He was part of the Fijian squad that won the rugby seven tournament at the delayed 2020 Summer Olympics.
