Vathy is a small seaside village in Sifnos, Greece. According to the 2021 Greek census it had a population of 75 permanent residents. [1] It is located on the southwest coast of the island facing the neighboring island of Kimolos.

Vathy belongs to the community of Apollonia of the municipality of Sifnos, which in turn belongs to Milos regional unit of the South Aegean administrative unit. [1]

Before 1958, the town of Samos was known as Limin Vatheos, hence many islanders still often refer to all of the town as Vathy. According to the 2021 census, the population of the community of Vathy was 3,767 while the population of the municipal unit was 12,506.

Although part of the Euboea regional unit, it is not located on the island Euboea, but on the mainland, attached to the northeastern part of Boeotia.

Kamares is a village and the main port for the island of Sifnos, Greece. Kamares is situated in the western side of the island on a natural harbor. The village has a large beach with many restaurants and hotels. The buildings in Kamares form a U-shape around the bay, with most restaurants and shops being directly on the water, and typically the hotels and houses on the hill above them. Visitors to the island arrive via the ferry terminal in the harbor; nearby bus service connects Kamares to the other villages of Sifnos.

Apollonia is a village in Sifnos, Cyclades, Greece. It is the capital (chora) and largest village of the island with 869 inhabitants as of the 2011 Greek Census. It is the head of the homonymous community, which includes the villages Vathy, Kamares, Kastro, Platys Gialos, Kato Petali, Faros and Chrysopigi and has a total population of 1,898 residents (2021). It is named after the god Apollo of the Greek mythology.

Kastro is a settlement in Sifnos, Cyclades, Greece. According to the 2021 Greek census it had 124 inhabitants. Kastro is built on top of a steep hill near the eastern coast of the island, at an altitude of 80 meters. Below the hill there is a small bay, which was used as the port of the settlement.
