Vel's Parnelli Jones Racing, commonly referred to simply as Parnelli or VPJ, was a motor racing constructor and team from the United States. The team was formed in 1969 by former USAC racer Parnelli Jones and his business partner Velko "Vel" Miletich. Parnelli was initially solely concerned with USAC racing, where success came quickly; their driver Al Unser won the Indianapolis 500 race in 1970, driving a VPJ Colt, after leading 190 of the 200 racing laps. Unser went on to win the USAC championship. Vel dHiv Roundup

The Vel' d'Hiv Roundup was a Nazi-directed raid and mass arrest of Jews in Paris by the French police, code named Opération Vent printanier ("Operation Spring Breeze"), on 16 and 17 July 1942. The name "Vel' d'Hiv Roundup" is derived from the name of the Vélodrome d'Hiver, a bicycle velodrome and stadium where a majority of the victims were temporarily confined. The roundup, assisted by French Police, was one of several aimed at eradicating the Jewish population in France, both in the occupied zone and in the free zone. According to records of the Préfecture de Police, 13,152 Jews were arrested, including more than 4,000 children. They were held at the Vélodrome d'Hiver in extremely crowded conditions, almost without food and water, and with no sanitary facilities, as well as at the Drancy, Pithiviers, and Beaune-la-Rolande internment camps, then shipped in rail cattle cars to Auschwitz for their mass murder.

Vel is a 2007 Tamil language action family drama film written and directed by Hari and produced by Mohan Natarajan. It stars Suriya in dual roles as hero, Asin as heroine and Kalabhavan Mani as the villain. Besides, it features Lakshmi, Saranya Ponvannan, Vadivelu,and Nassar in supporting roles. The film's score and soundtrack was composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The film released on 8 November 2007, coinciding with Diwali. Upon release,the film received mostly positive reviews and was a critical and commercial success. The film was later dubbed and released in Telugu as Deva and in Hindi as Main Faisla Karunga in 2014.

In Mexico, it was sold as Vel Rosita. This was due to the liquid being pink as well as the bottles it was sold in.
