Vela Bluff ( 71°10′S66°56′W / 71.167°S 66.933°W ) is a large isolated nunatak which signposts the only known route across the lower part of Ryder Glacier. It is located 5 nautical miles (9 km) west of Canopus Crags and 11 nautical miles (20 km) from the west coast Palmer Land and was named by the United Kingdom Antarctic Place-Names Committee (UK-APC) after the constellation of Vela.

Thurston Island is a largely ice-covered, glacially dissected island, 135 nautical miles long and 55 nautical miles wide, lying between Amundsen Sea and Bellingshausen Sea a short way off the northwest end of Ellsworth Land, Antarctica. The island is separated from the mainland by Peacock Sound, which is occupied by the west portion of Abbot Ice Shelf.
The Dennistoun Glacier is a glacier, 50 nautical miles long, draining the northern slopes of Mount Black Prince, Mount Royalist and Mount Adam in the Admiralty Mountains of Victoria Land, Antarctica. It flows northwest between the Lyttelton Range and Dunedin Range, turning east on rounding the latter range to enter the sea south of Cape Scott.
The Prince Olav Mountains is a mountain group in the Queen Maud Mountains in Antarctica stretching from Shackleton Glacier to Liv Glacier at the head of the Ross Ice Shelf.
The Deep Freeze Range is a rugged mountain range, over 80 nautical miles long and about 10 nautical miles wide, rising between Priestley and Campbell Glaciers in Victoria Land, Antarctica, and extending from the edge of the polar plateau to Terra Nova Bay. It is southwest of the Southern Cross Mountains, south of the Mesa Range and northeast of the Eisenhower Range of the Prince Albert Mountains.
Tucker Glacier is a major valley glacier of Victoria Land, Antarctica, about 90 nautical miles long, flowing southeast between the Admiralty Mountains and the Victory Mountains to the Ross Sea. There is a snow saddle at the glacier's head, just west of Homerun Range, from which the Ebbe Glacier flows northwestward.
Toney Mountain is an elongated snow-covered shield volcano, 38 nautical miles long and rising to 3,595 metres (11,795 ft) at Richmond Peak, located 35 nautical miles southwest of Kohler Range in Marie Byrd Land, Antarctica.
Kohler Range is a mountain range in Marie Byrd Land, Antarctica. The range is about 40 nautical miles long and stands between the base of Martin Peninsula and Smith Glacier. The range consists of two ice-covered plateaus punctuated by several rock peaks and bluffs. The plateaus are oriented East-West and are separated by the Kohler Glacier, a distributary which flows north from Smith Glacier.
Bear Peninsula is a peninsula about 50 nautical miles long and 25 nautical miles wide which is ice-covered except for several isolated rock bluffs and outcrops along its margins, lying 3 nautical miles east of Martin Peninsula on Walgreen Coast, Marie Byrd Land, Antarctica.
The Possession Islands are a group of small islands and rocks extending over an area of about 7 nautical miles, lying in the western part of the Ross Sea, lying 5 nautical miles south-east of Cape McCormick, in Victoria Land, Antarctica. The Possession Islands were named by Captain James Clark Ross, Royal Navy, in commemoration of the planting of the British flag here on January 12, 1841.
Northeast Glacier is a steep, heavily crevassed glacier, 13 nautical miles long and 5 nautical miles wide at its mouth, which flows from McLeod Hill westward and then south-westwards into Marguerite Bay between the Debenham Islands and Roman Four Promontory, on the west coast of Graham Land, Antarctica.
The Prince Charles Mountains are a major group of mountains in Mac. Robertson Land in Antarctica, including the Athos Range, the Porthos Range, and the Aramis Range. The highest peak is Mount Menzies, with a height of 3,228 m (10,591 ft). Other prominent peaks are Mount Izabelle and Mount Stinear. These mountains, together with other scattered peaks, form an arc about 420 km (260 mi) long, extending from the vicinity of Mount Starlight in the north to Goodspeed Nunataks in the south.
Pryor Glacier is a glacier flowing northeastward, to the north of Mount Shields and Yermak Point, into Rennick Bay. The feature is about 30 nautical miles long and forms a physical separation between Wilson Hills and Usarp Mountains.
Rennick Glacier is broad glacier, nearly 200 nautical miles long, which is one of the largest in Antarctica. It rises on the polar plateau westward of Mesa Range and is 20 to 30 nautical miles wide, narrowing to 10 nautical miles near the coast. It takes its name from Rennick Bay where the glacier reaches the sea.
The Canopus Crags are a cluster of peaks of 3 nautical miles (6 km) extent, located between Vela Bluff and Carina Heights along the south side of Ryder Glacier, in Palmer Land. They were named by the UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee after the star Canopus in the constellation of Carina.
The FitzGerald Bluffs are prominent north-facing bluffs, 9 nautical miles long, located 30 nautical miles south of the Snow Nunataks in Ellsworth Land, Antarctica.
The Goodenough Glacier is a broad sweeping glacier to the south of the Batterbee Mountains, flowing from the west shore of Palmer Land, Antarctica, into George VI Sound and the George VI Ice Shelf.
Tapsell Foreland is a borad, mostly snow-covered foreland jutting into the sea between Yule Bay and Smith Inlet, northern Victoria Land. Much of the central portion of this feature rises above 800 metres (2,600 ft).
The Lyon Nunataks are a group of nunataks lying west of the Grossman Nunataks and 30 nautical miles northwest of the Behrendt Mountains, in Ellsworth Land, Antarctica. They include Grossenbacher Nunatak, Holtet Nunatak, Christoph Nunatak and Isakson Nunatak.
The Lillie Range in Antarctica extends northward from the Prince Olav Mountains to the Ross Ice Shelf. Mounts Hall, Daniel, Krebs and Mason are in the range.
The McGregor Range is a mountain range 13 nautical miles long in the south-central Admiralty Mountains, Antarctica. The range is circumscribed by the flow of the Tucker Glacier, Leander Glacier, Fitch Glacier and Man-o-War Glacier.
