Annual calendar

Venket Ram, has recently started an annual calendar inspired by other brands such as Dabboo Ratnani and Kingfisher, and began photography for it 2010.

2011
Shots were taken in Chennai and Hyderabad of actors modelling with vintage cars. The calendar was launched by Mani Ratnam on 24 December 2010 with Udhayanidhi Stalin attending the event. [2]

The film stars Prashanth, Anand, Anu Aggarwal and Heera Rajagopal while S. P. Balasubrahmanyam and Salim Ghouse play supporting roles. The film's soundtrack and background score were composed by A. R. Rahman while the cinematography was handled by P. C. Sriram. In 1994, the film premièred at the Toronto International Film Festival. It also won the National Film Award for Best Special Effects.This is the only film that Anu Aggarwal has acted in Tamil.

Netru, Indru, Naalai was a series of musical theatre performances that were held in Chennai, India, by Indian film director Mani Ratnam. Choreography for the show was provided by Kala and Brinda. There were unconfirmed reports of close to 12,000 people attending the show.

Vasool Raja MBBS is a 2004 Indian Tamil-language comedy drama film directed by Saran. It is a remake of the 2003 Hindi film Munna Bhai M.B.B.S.. The film stars Kamal Haasan in the title role, while Prabhu, Sneha, Prakash Raj, Nagesh, Rohini Hattangadi, Jayasurya, Malavika, Crazy Mohan, Lakshmi Bhaskaran and Karunas play supporting roles. It was released on 15 August 2004.

The music was composed by Mani Sharma with cinematography by Sameer Reddy and editing by Gautham Raju. The film released on 6 August 2010 and became a commercial success at the box office. The film was remade in Bengali as Badsha - The Don. The film was dubbed twice in Hindi as Sabse Bada Don in 2011 and 2016.

The 2nd South Indian International Movie Awards were presented on 12–13 September 2013 in Sharjah, UAE, to honour the best cinematic achievements of the South Indian film industry in the year 2012. Initially planned for 20–21 June, the date was postponed due to "100 years of Indian cinema" jubilee festivities. The ceremony was hosted by Arya, Shriya Saran, Rana Daggubati and Sonu Sood at the Expo Centre Sharjah, while the "Generation Next Awards Night" was hosted a day before by Parvathy Omanakuttan and Ash Chandler. Poojai (transl. Prayer) is a 2014 Indian Tamil-language action film directed by Hari and produced by Vishal, who stars in the lead role, alongside Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj, Radhika Sarathkumar, Mukesh Tiwari, Awadesh Mishra and Soori. Yuvan Shankar Raja composed the music, while cinematography and editing were handled by Priyan and V. T. Vijayan.

Penn is a 1991 Indian drama anthology miniseries directed by Suhasini Maniratnam and produced by Charuhasan. The series on Madras Doordarshan featured eight standalone episodes examining the lives of South Indian women. Actresses Revathi, Bhanupriya, Geetha, Radhika, Amala, Shobana, Saranya and Suhasini herself play the lead roles in the eight episodes, with an ensemble set of other actors in supporting roles. SIIMA Award for Best Supporting Actress – Telugu is presented by Vibri media group as part of its annual South Indian International Movie Awards, for the best acting done by an actor in a supporting role in Telugu films. The award was first given in 2013 for films released in 2012. Jayasudha is the most nominated with 5 nominations and Anasuya Bharadwaj most awarded with 2 times winning the award.

<i>Thug Life</i> (2024 film) Upcoming Indian Tamil-language film by Mani Ratnam

Thug Life is an upcoming Indian Tamil-language gangster action drama film directed by Mani Ratnam, who co-wrote the script with Kamal Haasan. It is jointly produced by Raaj Kamal Films International, Madras Talkies and Red Giant Movies. The film stars Haasan, leading an ensemble cast that includes Silambarasan, Trisha Krishnan, Abhirami, Nassar, Joju George, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sanya Malhotra, Ashok Selvan, Ali Fazal and Pankaj Tripathi. It signifies the reunion of Haasan and Ratnam, reuniting them after their cult film Nayakan (1987).
