Vennira Aadai Moorthy (born 25 July 1936) [2] is an Indian actor and comedian in Tamil cinema. He has starred in many Tamil films and television serials as a comedian and also played supporting roles. [3] He is a lawyer by education, and holds a B.L. degree in addition to a PhD in astrology. [4] He is married to actress Manimala who played Suhasini's mother in Sindhu Bhairavi and the heroine in Vallavanukku Vallavan (1965). He is also a well known script-writer. Kamal Haasan's first full-fledged film as hero Maalai Sooda Vaa , had Murthy as a script writer. [5]

He is especially remembered for his Sunday TV Show 'Meendum Meendum Sirippu', which aired on Sun TV for 11 years. [6] The show had a comical take on common household themes involving slapstick and wordplay, usually ending with a social message. Moorthy wrote much of the material himself, in addition to starring on the show.

Early life

Moorthy was born on 25 July 1936 in British India. He is the youngest of seven children of Parents Chidambaram K. R. Nataraja Sastri, Thiruvaduthurai Sivakami The Father a criminal lawyer. [5] He sought to follow in his father's footsteps and studied law, but ultimately never became a lawyer. After completing his BL, he obtained employment as a sales representative of Remington Rand. Moorthy left the job because it involved excess touring, and struggled to find a new job. [4] He had a brief stint at AMJain college, Meenambakkam Chennai as tutor in department of English. He taught Shakespeare plays in 1959–1960.[ citation needed ]

Career

After leaving Remington Rand, Moorthy met his friend Chakravarthy, an associate of filmmaker C. V. Sridhar, and told him about his desire to act. Chakravarthy, who had previously seen Moorthy act on stage, told Sridhar about him, [4] and Moorthy made his film debut in Vennira Aadai (1965). [7] It was after the success of this film that he came to be known as Vennira Aadai Moorthy.

Judo. K. K. Rathnam also known as Judo Rathnam is a fight master/action choreographer in Kollywood, Bollywood, Mollywood, Sandalwood and Tollywood, Born in Gudiyatham. He made his debut as an actor in the film Thamarai Kulam in 1959, later he made his debut as a stunt master in the film Vallavan Oruvan in 1966 and made his last appearance as an actor before his retirement in the film Thalainagaram in 2006. Stunt masters and Actors like Vikram Dharma, Super Subbarayan, Thalapathy Dinesh, Jaguar Thangam, Rambo Rajkumar, FEFSI Vijayan, Ponnambalam, Judo. K. K. Ramu, Indian Baskar, Rajasekhar, Ambur. R. S. <span class="mw-page-title-main">Jaguar Thangam</span>

Thanga Pazham, known by his screen name Jaguar Thangam, is a famous stunt choreographer in the Indian film industry who works in almost all regional languages in India primarily in Tamil Cinema. He began Silambam when he was 6 years old. In the middle of 1978, he was given the name Jaguar Thangam by a Malayalam director Mr. Chandrakumar. Following his debut in Chandrakumar's Hindi drama Meena Bazzar (1978) as a stunt coordinator, his stunt career commenced with a brief phase of stunt sequences in nationwide film industry.
