Release

The film was released on 14 January 1997. [3] It did not run even for a week in theatres and failed at the box-office. [1] According to writer Sura, Jaya Rajendran later changed his name as Rajesh Varma and made a film called Royal Family with Saravanan; however that film never got released and he died. [1]

Darshana also bagged character roles in Tamil films like Kavan (2017) and Irumbu Thirai (2018). In 2022 she acted the title role in the movie Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey. She is a recipient of the Kerala Film Critics Association Award for Best Actress.
