The 1920 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the VII Olympiad and commonly known as Antwerp 1920, were an international multi-sport event held in 1920 in Antwerp, Belgium.

Ivan Ivanov Ivanov is a Bulgarian former weightlifter and current head coach of the national Bulgarian weightlifting teams. He claimed one gold medal at the 1992 Olympic Games, four time World Champion, and five time European Champion. He won the 1990 World Cup. Ivan also won 1991 World Cup Final in Barcelona and 1990 World Cup Final in Tainan, and in 1989 in Lisbon he finished second. In 1990 he became gold medalist of the Goodwill Games in Seattle. Ivanov was named the Best Weightlifter in the World by the International Weightlifting Federation for 1989 and 1990. Ivanov is also a three-time World Junior Champion and twice European Junior Champion. He was elected as the best coach of Bulgaria for 2019 by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the country together with the trainer on rhythmic gymnastics Vesela Dimitrova.
Czechoslovakia competed at the 1928 Winter Olympics in St. Moritz, Switzerland. Rudolf Burkert won the first Czechoslovak medal from the Winter Olympics. Libuše Veselá was the first Czechoslovak woman to take part in the Winter Olympics.
Finland first participated at the Olympic Games in 1908, and has sent athletes to compete in every Summer Olympic Games and every Winter Olympic Games since then. Finland was also the host nation for the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki. Finnish athletes have won a total of 305 medals at the Summer Games, mostly in athletics and wrestling. Jana Veselá is a Czech professional basketball player currently playing in the Czech League for ZVVZ USK Prague. She has played the Summer Olympics, the World Championship and the Eurobasket with the Czech Republic women's national basketball team, and she has won the Euroleague Women twice with Gambrinus Brno and Ros Casares Valencia, and the 2010 WNBA with Seattle Storm. She is 1.94 meters tall and plays as a forward.
Vesela Gora is a small settlement in the Municipality of Šentrupert in southeastern Slovenia. The area is part of the historical region of Lower Carniola. The municipality is now included in the Southeast Slovenia Statistical Region.
Vesela Nikolaeva Lecheva is a Bulgarian sport shooter and politician. She won the Silver medal in the 50 m rifle 3 pos in the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul and 10 m air rifle in 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona. Lecheva was born in Veliko Tarnovo.

Libuše Friedrichová-Veselá was a Czech figure skater. She competed in the mixed pairs event at the 1928 Winter Olympics, along with husband Vojtěch Veselý.
