Vibha Parthasarathi (born 13 September 1940) is an Indian educationist. She served as the chairperson of the National Commission for Women, India from 1999 to 2002. [1]
Vibha Parthasarathi was educated at Cambridge University and Boston University. She was Principal of New Delhi's Sardar Patel Vidyalaya. [2]
She currently serves on the advisory board of Peepul India, an education non-profit working to transform India's public school system in partnership with the government.
Vibha Parthasarathi was nominated by the NDA government as the Chairperson of the National Commission for Women in July 1999. Her term ended in 2002.[ citation needed ]

The Government of India awarded her the fourth highest Indian civilian honour of Padma Shri in 1986.

Pushpalata Das (1915–2003) was an Indian independence activist, social worker, Gandhian and legislator from the north-east Indian state of Assam. She was a member of Rajya Sabha from 1951 to 1961, a member of the Assam Legislative Assembly and a member of the working committee of the Indian National Congress. She served as the chairperson of the Assam chapters of the Kasturba Gandhi National Memorial Trust and Khadi and Village Industries Commission. The Government of India awarded her the third highest civilian honour of the Padma Bhushan, in 1999, for her contributions to society.

Subur Parthasarathy, born Subur Mugaseth, was an Indian educator and legislator. She was the first principal at Ethiraj College for Women, and served in the upper house of the Indian Parliament from 1960 to 1966.

Ashok Parthasarathi (1940—2019) was an Indian physicist and electronics engineer who served as a Science and Technology Advisor to Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. He played a crucial role in India's science and technology policies and helped the country become self-reliant in the field.
