Victoria Edward (born 1977) was a New Zealand netball player who played 22 international matches for the national team, known as the Silver Ferns.

Early life

Victoria Edward Edgar was born in Lower Hutt (Māori : Te Awakairangi) in the Wellington Region of the North Island of New Zealand on 3 February 1977. She attended Palmerston North Girls' High School, followed by Otago Polytechnic and the University of Otago in Dunedin on the South Island. She trained as nurse and worked as a nurse during much of her netball playing career. [1] [2] [3]

Netball career

In 1998-99 Edward played with the Otago Rebels team, which competed in the nationwide National Bank Cup. She then joined the Waikato/Bay of Plenty Magic located in Hamilton, playing there from 2000 to 2002. Having moved to Auckland, she transferred to the Auckland Diamonds for the 2003 to 2006 seasons, captaining the team in 2006. She played her first game for the Silver Ferns, the New Zealand national netball team, in June 2001, against South Africa. Edward played 22 matches for the team but was not selected for the 2003 World Netball Championships in Kingston, Jamaica, when New Zealand won the gold medal. [1] [2] [3]

George retired from international duties after the 2011 World Netball Championships in Singapore. She played domestic netball in the ANZ Championship as captain of the Northern Mystics. Since the inaugural season, George has taken part in every quarter for the Mystics. She retired from all netball in 2012.

Anna Maree Harrison, originally known as Anna Scarlett, is a former New Zealand netball international. During the National Bank Cup era, she played for Otago Rebels and Auckland Diamonds. During the ANZ Championship era, she played for Northern Mystics. In 2012, Harrison began using a rugby union lineout-style form of goaltending. The technique subsequently became known as the Harrison Hoist. During the ANZ Premiership era, she played for Mystics and Northern Stars. As well as playing international netball, Harrison also played for the New Zealand women's national volleyball team and represented New Zealand on the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour. Jodi Anne Brown is a retired New Zealand netball player. Brown was a member of the New Zealand national netball team, the Silver Ferns from 2002 to 2015, taking time off in between those periods due to injury and pregnancy, earning 61 caps. She has also played elite domestic netball in New Zealand for 13 years, and has signed with the Southern Steel for 2014. She played for the Central Pulse in 2015 and was getting set to play her final season in 2016 before she injured her ACL in the preseason and decided to retire from domestic netball after she had retired from international netball in 2015. In 2015, Jodi began co-coaching at St Hilda's Collegiate, Dunedin with the year nine A team. She has since followed this team through the years, which included a devastating 1 point loss in the SISS final. In 2018, Brown coached the St Hilda's Senior A team and also coached the Dunedin U17 team to 11th place at Nationals.

Katrina Rore is a New Zealand international netball player. Rore is a previous captain of the New Zealand national netball team, the Silver Ferns, and plays for the Central Pulse in the ANZ Championship. Rore signed to the New South Wales Swifts in the Suncorp Super Netball league in the latter half of the 2018–2019 season following the Netball World Cup.

Janine Southby Brown is a retired New Zealand netball player who then coached the national Silver Ferns netball team. She was also the coach of the Southern Steel in the ANZ Championship. Southby played for the Western Flyers in the National Bank Cup competition from 1997 to 2001, before transferring to the Dunedin-based Otago Rebels in 2002. In 2015, Southby was given the role as head coach for the New Zealand netball team the Silver Ferns. Southby had resigned on July 20, 2018, where the independent review found fault in Southby's coaching style.

Kayla Malvina Johnson is a New Zealand netball player. As a high school student, Cullen played representative netball and basketball, and competed at a national level in athletics. In 2008, she was selected in the New Zealand U21 netball team, and was a member of the side that finished second at the 2009 World Youth Netball Championships, behind Australia.

Tanya Jane Dearns is a New Zealand netball coach and former netball player. She played 31 international matches for the New Zealand team between 1990 and 1998, including at the 1991 World Netball Championships.
