Balanathan Benjamin Mahendran, commonly known as Balu Mahendra, cinematographer, director, screenwriter and film editor who worked in various Indian film industries, primarily in Tamil and Malayalam cinema. Born in Sri Lanka, Mahendran developed a passion for photography and literature at a young age, after witnessing the shoot of David Lean's The Bridge on the River Kwai (1957) during a school trip in Sri Lanka, he was drawn towards filmmaking. After graduation he joined as an Aerial photographer in the Sri Lankan Government. In 1966, he moved to India and gained admission to the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) to pursue a course in motion picture photography. Upon completion of his diploma, he entered Malayalam cinema as a cinematographer in the early 1970s.

It is a remake of the 1994 Malayalam film Malappuram Haji Mahanaya Joji. The film was released on 22 August 1997, and failed at the box office.
Soori is a 2003 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film, written and directed by Selvan, a former associate of director S. Shankar. The film stars Vignesh, Uma and Vijayalakshmi whilst Chinni Jayanth, Senthil and Manobala play supporting roles. Parthiban plays a thug in a guest appearance. The film, produced by P. Vijayakumar, had music by Deva while Vijay Milton and Suresh Urs were cinematographer and editor respectively. The film was released on 19 December 2003.

Abitha is an Indian actress who appears in Tamil language films and television serials. She appeared in notable productions including Sethu alongside Vikram. She is famous for her role as Archana in the serial Thirumathi Selvam, which aired from 2007 to 2013 in Sun TV starring opposite Sanjeev. She was the winner of Sun Kudumbam Viruthugal for Best Actress twice by Sun Kudumbam Viruthugal for Thirumathi Selvam in the years 2010 and 2012.
Vanna Thamizh Paatu is a 2000 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film directed by P. Vasu. The film stars Prabhu, débutantes Vaijayanthi and Mani Chandana. It was released on 17 November 2000.

Poove Unakkaga (பூவே உனக்காக is a 2020-2022 Indian-Tamil language soap opera. It premiered on 10 August 2020 on Sun TV and ended on 18 June 2022 with 572 episodes. It is available for worldwide streaming on Sun NXT. The Show was produced by Sun Entertainment and Mindset Media. It initially started with Jovita Livingston Jones and Radhika Preethi with Arun and Srinish Aravind in the lead roles, with Aamani in a brief supporting role. But in later it continued and ended with Mohammed Azeem, Varshini Arza and Chaya Singh.
