Vikram Goud is an Indian film producer and politician from Hyderabad, India. He is known for producing the Telugu films Ishq (2012) and Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde (2013). [3] Goud began his career in the film industry in 2012 with Ishq, which received positive reviews and was a sleeper-hit. [3] He then went on to produce the rom com Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde in 2013, [4] [5] which also received positive reviews and was a commercial success.

Career

Vikram Goud was active participant in politics since his college days, in 2000 he was elected as Hyderabad City Vice President of National Students' Union of India while pursuing his intermediate, and went on to become General Secretary. In 2011, he was elected as General Secretary of Youth Congress of then Andhra Pradesh. He contested the post of mayor of Hyderabad candidate from the Indian National Congress in 2016. [6] [7] In 2020, he was the Congress' in-charge of Goshamahal before he moved to the Bharatiya Janata Party. [8] Goud left the BJP and rejoined the Congress party in January 2024. [1]

In late 2022, he was speculated as a prospective candidate to represent Goshamahal as a successor of Raja Singh [9] competing alongside Corporator Shankar Rao and Bhagwanth Rao.

Controversy

In 2017, Vikram Goud was attacked and suffered gun shot wounds [10] Police said they do not know whether Vikram Goud was attacked by anybody or whether it was a suicide bid. [10] [11] Investigation revealed that the three-member gang, [12] who took money to shoot Vikram, after the incident, they fled from the city, and police [13] traced their whereabouts through CCTV footage from Outer Ring Road (ORR). TV reports say that Vikram Goud staged the drama to threaten his father, Mukesh Goud [14] and to get off from the financiers. They say that Vikram was in huge debts. [15]

Oka Laila Kosam is the soundtrack album composed by Anup Rubens for the 2014 Telugu-language romantic comedy film of the same name starring Naga Chaitanya and Pooja Hegde in lead roles, directed by Vijay Kumar Konda. The film marks Rubens' second collaboration with Vijay aKumar Konda after Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde (2013) and third collaboration with Chaitanya after Manam (2014) and Autonagar Surya (2014). The album consists of six songs with Vanamali, Phani Chandra, Sri Mani, Dasari Narayana Rao, and Anantha Sriram penning the lyrics. The soundtrack album released digitally on 23 August 2014 on the Aditya Music label. The album received positive reviews from critics.
