Nandi Awards of 2012

Nandi Awards for the year 2012 was announced on 1 March 2017 by the Andhra Pradesh Government. [1]

The Nandi Awards is the highest award ceremony for excellence in Telugu cinema, Telugu theatre, Telugu television, and Lifetime achievements in Indian cinema, presented annually by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. "Nandi" means "bull", the award being named after the big granite bull at Lepakshi — a cultural and historical symbol of the Telugu people. Nandi Awards are presented in four categories: Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Copper. A variant, the Nandi Natakotsavam Awards for Theater, is also given every year by the government for social, mythological and poetic dramas.

Brahmanandam Kanneganti is an Indian film actor and comedian, known for his works predominantly in Telugu cinema. Jagapati Babu (pronunciation ; is an Indian film actor known for his works predominantly in Telugu cinema. In a career spanning 25 years, Jagapati Babu has starred in over 120 feature films, and has received 3 Filmfare Awards and 7 state Nandi Awards.

The Nandi Award for Best Actor was commissioned by the Nandi Awards committee in 1977. The winner is awarded a "Silver Nandi", "Shri Rajendra Prasad Gold Medal", cash award and a commendation certificate. Sobhan Babu Indian actor

Sobhan Babu was an Indian film actor known for his works exclusively in Telugu cinema. He made his film debut in Bhakta Shabari (1959), but Daivabalam (1959), was released earlier at the box office. Sobhan babu has garnered five state Nandi Awards for Best Actor, and four Filmfare Awards for Best Telugu Actor.

Pudipeddi Ravi Shankar also known as Kempegowda Ravi, Armuga Ravishankar, Bommali Ravi Shankar or Sai Ravi is an Indian film actor, dubbing artist, director and writer. He rose to fame with the 2011 blockbuster Kempe Gowda starring Sudeep. He has also acted in a few Telugu and Tamil films. He dubbed for over 2600 films with more than 1000 films each in Telugu and Tamil languages. He dubbed for over 150 Kannada films.

The Nandi Award for Best Special Effects instituted since 2003 is given after the Nandi Awards committee selects a film from all the films that released in that particular year, which has the best visual effects.
