Viktoriya Yuriïvna Shaimardanova (Вікторія Юріївна Шаймарданова, born 11 October 1973) is a Ukrainian weightlifter, competing in the +75 kg category and representing Ukraine at international competitions.
Olympic-style weightlifting, or Olympic weightlifting, often simply referred to as weightlifting, is an athletic discipline in the modern Olympic programme in which the athlete attempts a maximum-weight single lift of a barbell loaded with weight plates.
She participated at the 2000 Summer Olympics in the +75 kg event. She competed at world championships, most recently at the 2003 World Weightlifting Championships. [1]
The 2000 Summer Olympic Games, officially known as the Games of the XXVII Olympiad and commonly known as Sydney 2000 or the Millennium Olympic Games/Games of the New Millennium, were an international multi-sport event which was held between 15 September and 1 October 2000 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It was the second time that the Summer Olympics were held in Australia, and also the Southern Hemisphere, the first being in Melbourne, Victoria, in 1956.
The women's 75 kg weightlifting event at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece took place at the Nikaia Olympic Weightlifting Hall on August 21.
The 2003 World Weightlifting Championships were held in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada from November 14 to November 22, 2003.
