Dr. Vinayraoji Vilasrao Kore (born 4 October 1971, in Kolhapur, Maharashtra) serves as the President of Shree Warana Industrial & Educational Complex in Warananagar. He has also held the position of Minister of Non-Conventional Energy & Horticulture in the Government of Maharashtra. He is the founding president of 'Jansurajyashakti Paksh'. His grandfather, Tatyasaheb Kore, established the Shree Warana Industrial & Educational Complex. [1]

Prabha Atre was an Indian classical vocalist from the Kirana gharana. She was awarded all three of the Padma Awards by the Government of India. She died after experiencing breathing difficulty in the early hours and was taken to Dinanath Mangeshkar Hospital. She died from cardiac arrest before reaching the hospital. TKIET is recognized by the government of Maharashtra, and is approved by the All India Council of Technical Education, New Delhi. It is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi. In year 2016 the institute was accredited by NAAC 'A' grade with CGPA 3.27 which is highest in Shivaji University. The Institute is affiliated with Shivaji University, Kolhapur.

Achyut Purushottam Kanvinde was an Indian architect who worked in functionalist approaches with elements of Brutalist architecture. He received the Padma Shri in 1974. Padma Shri, also spelled Padma Shree, is the fourth-highest civilian award of the Republic of India, after the Bharat Ratna, the Padma Vibhushan and the Padma Bhushan. Instituted on 2 January 1954, the award is conferred in recognition of "distinguished contribution in various spheres of activity including the arts, education, industry, literature, science, acting, medicine, social service and public affairs". It is awarded by the Government of India every year on India's Republic Day.

Balwant Moreshwar Purandare, popularly known as Babasaheb Purandare, was an Indian writer of books and plays from Maharashtra, India. His works are mostly based on the life of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the 17th-century founder of the Maratha Empire; as a result he is called Shiv-Shahir. He is mostly known for his popular play on Shivaji, Jaanta Raja. Purandare also studied the history of the Peshwas of Pune. In 2015, he was awarded the Maharashtra Bhushan Award, Maharashtra's highest civilian award. He was awarded the Padma Vibhushan, India's highest second-civilian award on 25 January 2019.

Karamshi Jethabhai Somaiya was an Indian educationist who founded educational institutes in Maharashtra state in India. He was awarded the Padma Bhushan for his service to society in 2000. The Somaiya Vidyavihar educational campus in Mumbai and several colleges in this campus are named after him. He was also an industrialist and founder of Somaiya Group of industries.

Shantaram Balwant Mujumdar is the founder and president of the Symbiosis Society, a multinational educational and cultural center, and chancellor of Symbiosis International University. He was awarded the Padma Shri in 2005 and the Padma Bhushan in 2012.

Anil Kumar Lakhina is an Indian civil servant and a former Indian Administrative Service officer, known for his administrative reforms which has since come to be known as the Lakhina pattern. He is credited with the urban planning of Navi Mumbai, besides the commissioning of several other major projects. The Government of India awarded him the fourth highest Indian civilian honour of Padma Shri in 1986.

Tatyarao Pundlikrao Lahane is an Indian eye surgeon and ophthalmologist. He served as the Dean of Grant Medical College and J. J. Hospital, Mumbai, and set a world record with more than 162,000 cataract surgeries. He was awarded Padma Shri award in 2008, the 4th highest civilian award in India.

Balswarup Chaubey was an Indian nephrologist and medical academic. A Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of London, Chaubey was the retired dean of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Nagpur and had served as the secretary of the Maharashtra State Medical Teachers Association.

Balasaheb Shivram Bharde (1912–2006), also known as Trimbak, was an Indian independence activist, social worker, educationist and the speaker of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. He was known for his contributions to the cooperative movement in Maharashtra as the Minister of Co-operation (1957–1962). He was associated with several social and government organizations such as Khadi Gramodhyog, Harijan Sevak Sangh and Maharashtra Gandhi Smarak Nidhi (MGSN) and served as the chairman of the first named and as the second president of the MGS Nidhi. He also chaired the Maharashtra State Khadi Board.

Ganapati Dadasaheb Yadav is an Indian chemical engineer, inventor and academic, known for his research on nanomaterials, gas absorption with chemical reaction and phase transfer catalysis. He served as the vice chancellor of the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai from 2009 until November 2019. He is currently the Emeritus Professor of Eminence at ICT Mumbai.

Shrimant Raja, Sir Chintamanrao Dhundirao Patwardhan also known as Appasaheb Patwardhan was the 3rd Raja of the princely state of Sangli of British Raj during the reign. He signed the accession to the Indian Union on 19 February 1948 which ended the separate existence of Sangli State.

Padma Shri Piyong Temjen Jamir was a noted Hindi scholar and littérateur from Longsa village under Mokokchung district in Nagaland state of India. He was conferred the Padma Sri honour by the President of India, Ram Nath Kovind, in 2018 for the promotion of Hindi language and social work.
