Vincent "Vince" DeGiorgio (born in Brampton, Ontario) is a Canadian DJ, record producer, music publisher and songwriter. [1] [2]
Brampton is a city in the Canadian province of Ontario. Situated in Southern Ontario, it is a suburban city in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and the seat of Peel Region. The city has a population of 593,638 as of the Canada 2016 Census. Brampton is Canada's ninth-most populous municipality, the seventy-seventh largest city in North America and the third most populous city in the Greater Golden Horseshoe Region, behind Toronto and Mississauga.

Caroline Esmeralda van der Leeuw, better known by her stage name Caro Emerald, is a Dutch pop and jazz singer. Active since 2007, she rose to prominence in 2009 with "Back It Up". Follow-up single "A Night Like This" topped charts in the Netherlands. Emerald is often praised for her outstanding live performances. She predominantly performs in English mixed in with her own made up language in the form of scat singing.
Deleted Scenes from the Cutting Room Floor is the debut album by Dutch singer Caro Emerald. The album was conceived, written and produced as a studio project by David Schreurs, Vincent Degiorgio, Jan van Wieringen and Caroline van der Leeuw, and released in the Netherlands with Emerald as the starring artist on January 29, 2010 on their own label Grandmono.
Joanna Wang is a Taiwanese-American singer-songwriter, daughter of renowned music producer Wang Zhi-ping (王治平). Born in Taipei but raised in Los Angeles, California, Wang dropped out from Gabrielino High School when she was 16. Her debut album, Start from Here, was released in January 2008 as a double-disc set, one in English and the other in Chinese. The album reached No.1 in Taiwan and has been popular throughout Southeast Asia. In June 2008, it was released in Japan. Her second album, Joanna & Wang Ruo-lin, which includes her all-original endeavor, The Adult Storybook, was released in January 2009.

Vince DeGiorgio began his music career as an import record buyer [10] for a Sam the Record Man outlet in his hometown of Brampton, Ontario. He then moved on to retail record store Disco Sound of Canada [11] in Toronto, Ontario where his close ties to the dance music community began and his most notable DJ gig at after hours nightclub Le Tube.
Sam the Record Man was a Canadian record store chain that, at one time, was Canada's largest music recording retailer. In 1982, its ads proclaimed that it had "140 locations, coast to coast".
DeGiorgio moved from his own label to a position as dance music and marketing consultant at BMG Music Canada [12] - the first step in his "corporate music" career. DeGiorgio was International A&R VP at RCA in New York from 1997 to 2002. [13] DeGiorgio was responsible for signing famous boy band NSYNC in the US. He is a member of the board of directors of the Songwriters Association of Canada (producer of the "Songworks" songwriting camps [14] ), serves on the advisory board of MROC [15] (Musicians' Rights Organization of Canada) and is the outgoing chair of the Juno Awards dance music committee.

NSYNC was an American boy band formed in Orlando, Florida, in 1995 and launched in Germany by BMG Ariola Munich. NSYNC consisted of Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick, Joey Fatone, and Lance Bass. After heavily publicized legal battles with their former manager Lou Pearlman and former record label Bertelsmann Music Group, the group's second album, No Strings Attached (2000), sold over one million copies in one day and 2.42 million copies in one week, which was a record for over fifteen years. Among the group's singles, "I Want You Back", "Bye Bye Bye", "This I Promise You", "Girlfriend", "Pop" and "It's Gonna Be Me" reached the top 10 in several international charts, with the last being a US Billboard Hot 100 number one. DeGiorgio currently owns and manages Chapter 2 Productions which also houses Cymba Music Publishing [16] (an acronym for "Crushing Your Music Business Apathy"), C2 it Music Publishing, The Billy Ray Louis Music Publishing Company, DVP (a joint venture pop music label) and dance imprints Power Records and Boulevard Records Inc. Chapter 2 Productions Inc. has furnished music for over 150 international and domestic television programmes including "Smart Cookies","Pure Design" and the award-winning "Make Some Noise", "America's Next Top Model", "Da Kink In My Hair", "Degrassi" and "Keeping Up With The Kardashians". It has also had songs in its catalogue appear in major motion pictures such as "Something Borrowed" and in trailers for "The Fantastic Mr. Fox". The newest projects completed include placements in the ABC TV show "Army Wives", made for TV films "The Trainer", an advertisement for Reebok's "Easy Tone" shoes in Japan and Russia and the CBC TV show "Mr. D". [17] Besides DeGiorgio, Chapter 2's writing team includes Aileen de la Cruz, Ava Kay, John Acosta and Davor Vulama.
In September 2016, DeGiorgio was elected President [18] of The Canadian Music Publishers Association [19] (CMPA). He is also co-chair of Canada Music Week (CMW), 2017 committee. [20]
Disco is a music genre and subculture that emerged in the 1970s from the United States' urban nightlife scene. The music, the fashion, many song lyrics and other cultural phenomena associated with disco were focused on having a good time on the dance floor of a discotheque to the loud sounds of records being played by a DJ, usually enhanced by coloured lighting effects.
House music is a genre of electronic dance music created by club DJs and music producers in Chicago in the early 1980s. Early house music was generally characterized by repetitive 4/4 beats, rhythms provided by drum machines, off-beat hi-hat cymbals, and synthesized basslines. While house displayed several characteristics similar to disco music, which preceded and influenced it, as both were DJ and record producer-created dance music, house was more electronic and minimalistic. The mechanical, repetitive rhythm of house was one of its main components. Many house compositions were instrumental, with no vocals; some had singing throughout the song with lyrics; and some had singing but no actual words.

Moroder described Summer's work with him on the song as "really the start of electronic dance" music. Alain Macklovitch, known by his stage name A-Trak, is a Canadian DJ, turntablist, record producer, and music label executive. He is the owner of the record label Fool's Gold which was founded in 2007 and is credited for developing the careers of artists such as Kid Cudi, Danny Brown, and Flosstradamus. A-Trak's career has spanned nearly two decades, leading Rolling Stone to name him one of the 50 Most Important People in EDM. A-Trak is also part of the DJ duo Duck Sauce with Armand Van Helden, which was nominated for a Grammy in 2012 for their song "Barbra Streisand". A-Trak was featured on the covers of Billboard and Complex and recently appeared in campaigns for Adidas, Grey Goose, Converse and Cadillac. "On the Radio" is a song by American singer and songwriter Donna Summer, produced by Italian musician Giorgio Moroder, and released in late-1979 on the Casablanca record label. It was written for the soundtrack to the film Foxes and included on Summer's first international compilation album On the Radio: Greatest Hits Volumes I & II. It was released as a single and became, in February 1980, her tenth top-ten hit in the U.S. as well as her eighth and final consecutive top 5 single. "On the Radio" peaked at number five on the Billboard Hot 100 and number nine on the soul chart. The song was also Summer's 14th entry on the Billboard Disco chart, where it peaked at number eight. In Canada, it peaked at number two.
This is the full discography for the Canadian rock musician Sam Roberts who is signed to Universal (Canada) since 2001. In 2000 Roberts recorded a set of demos entitled "Brother Down". Phil Speiser is a music producer and composer living in Hamburg, Germany. Since 2014, he is member and producer of the German band Scooter. His first production with Scooter, the album "The Fifth Chapter" went Top 10 in the official German Album Charts and was nominated for the German Echo Music Award. Speiser ran the record label Oh! My God It's Techno Music, and he is also known for his dance music project Dirty Disco Youth which topped the German Dance Charts several times.
