Vincent Johannes Rudolf Claase, better known under his stage name Vinzzent, is a Dutch singer-songwriter. [1]

Biography

Vinzzent was born in Winterswijk to a Dutch mother and an Indonesian father. He spend his early life growing up in Enschede and The Hague before settling down in Oosterhout. Vinzzent's father organized a lot of events with Pop & Rock bands, giving him a lot of contact with the genres in early life. [2]

Vinzzent followed an education to become a studio technician and began work for several Dutch artists. One of these artists, Rob de Nijs, gave Vinzzent his singing debut during his jubileum concert in Royal Theatre Carré. [2]

Vinzzent fathered one son named Vince Claase. [2]

Career

Vinzzent released his debut album Een zomer lang verliefd in 2007. [3] In 2010 Vinzzent released his most successful single called Dromendans. Dromendans is a cover of Bloubergstrand se sonsak by Kurt Darren. Dromendans ultimately reached 7th place in the Single Top 100. [4]

In 2010 Vinzzent participated in the Dutch National Songfestival to decide who would represent the Netherlands in that year's Eurovision. While Vinzzent received the popular vote, the professional jury did not vote for him. In the end Sieneke was sent instead. [5] Vinzzent did serve as one of the jurors.

Name origin

Vinzzent's pseudonym is an effort by Vincent Claase to sing under his own name, while also being able to be easily found on the World Wide Web. The unique double z in his name makes him easily distinguishable from the other singers with the name Vincent. [2]

The Hearts of Soul, also known as Dream Express and LBS, were a Dutch-Belgian musical group that originally consisted of the Indonesian-born Dutch sisters Bianca, Patricia and Stella Maessen. Belgian singer and composer Luc Smets joined the group in 1975. The group is known for representing the Netherlands in the Eurovision Song Contest 1970 and Belgium in the Eurovision Song Contest 1977.

Laura Omloop Belgian pop singer (born 1999)

Laura Omloop is a Belgian pop singer who represented her country in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2009 in Kyiv, Ukraine, finishing in fourth place. Omloop sang the song "Zo verliefd", which contains yodeling. This was Belgium's best result in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

Willem Bijkerk, known professionally as Waylon, is a Dutch singer. His stage name came from the name of his idol Waylon Jennings. He represented the Netherlands with Ilse DeLange as part of the Common Linnets at the Eurovision Song Contest 2014, finishing in second place in the final. He represented the Netherlands again as a solo artist in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 and finished in 18th place.

The Netherlands participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 with the song "Slow Down" written by Douwe Bob, Jan Peter Hoekstra, Jeroen Overman and Matthijs van Duijvenbode. The song was performed by Douwe Bob, who was internally selected by the Dutch broadcaster AVROTROS to represent the Netherlands at the 2016 contest in Stockholm, Sweden. Birth of a New Age 2021 song by Jeangu Macrooy

"Birth of a New Age" is a song by Surinamese singer-songwriter Jeangu Macrooy. The song represented the Netherlands in the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. The music video was recorded in the Rijksmuseum. In the song, Macrooy calls for resilience and authenticity. The song is mostly written in English and partly in Sranan Tongo, a lingua franca in Suriname.

Stien den Hollander, known professionally as S10, is a Dutch singer, rapper and songwriter. She began her musical career in 2016, and was signed to the Dutch hip hop record label Noah's Ark in 2017. In 2019, she released her debut studio album Snowsniper, which went on to win an Edison Award. Den Hollander represented the Netherlands in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 with the song "De diepte", the first Eurovision entry to be sung in the Dutch language since 2010.

Arno Krabman is a Dutch songwriter and producer. He is known for his work with, among others, Suzan & Freek, Snelle and S10, and has had over twenty-five Dutch Single Top 100 hits as a songwriter. His repertoire consists mainly of Dutch-language pop songs.
