Virtual Dining Concepts (VDC) is an American company specializing in virtual restaurants. It was founded in 2020 and has produced independent concepts and celebrity collaborations. In 2023, VDC was sued by American YouTuber MrBeast, alleging a breach of conflict and failing to uphold the quality of the virtual restaurant MrBeast Burger. VDC denied the allegations and counter-sued.
VDC was co-founded by English-American businessman and Planet Hollywood founder Robert Earl, [1] his son Robbie, [2] and Trish Giordano [3] in 2020. Its first CEO [4] and current president [5] was Robert Earl. In 2022, he was replaced as CEO with former DoorDash enterprise partnerships lead Stephanie Sollers. VDC has produced concepts such as Wing Squad, P.Za Kitchen, Midtown Salads, and City Burger Co. [1] as well as celebrity collaborations such as FaZe Subs, [8] MrBeast Burger, Pauly D's Italian Subs, [9] Tyga Bites, [10] and NASCAR Refuel. [11]
On July 31, 2023, MrBeast (Jimmy Donaldson) filed suit against Virtual Dining Concepts for breach of contract. Donaldson's complaint stated his belief that the company behind his chain has failed to uphold the quality he so desired, alleging that it was more focused on its own growth than the quality of the venture's product. The filing also stated that Virtual Dining Concepts trademarked Mr. Beast without the knowledge of Donaldson, and because of such, Donaldson has not received any compensation from MrBeast Burger. Virtual Dining's lawyers quickly dismissed the complaints and alleged that Donaldson's allegations are "riddled with false statements and inaccuracies", noting that Donaldson recently attempted to negotiate a new contract with Virtual Dining. The firm, represented by Greenberg Traurig, further claims that Donaldson used "bullying tactics" in order to escape from his existing contractual obligations without sensible reasoning. Virtual Dining "had hoped Mr. Donaldson would act honorably", but said he had "elevated greed over his word and the truth", and that he "will face the consequences in court when [Virtual Dining] files it[ sic ] claims against him". The case will be heard in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, with no judge assigned as of yet. [17] [18] [19]

In-N-Out Burgers, doing business as In-N-Out Burger, is an American regional chain of fast food restaurants with locations primarily in California and to a lesser extent the Southwest from Oregon to Texas. It was founded in Baldwin Park, California, in 1948 by Harry (1913–1976) and Esther Snyder (1920–2006). Founded on September 13, 1921, in Wichita, Kansas, it has been generally credited as the world's first fast-food hamburger chain. It is known for its small, square hamburgers referred to as "sliders". The burgers were initially priced at five cents until 1929 and remained at 10 cents until 1949. In the 1940s, White Castle periodically ran promotional ads in local newspapers which contained coupons offering five burgers for ten cents, takeout only. The predecessor to what is now the international fast food restaurant chain Burger King was founded on July 23, 1954, in Jacksonville, Florida, as Instant Burger King. Inspired by the McDonald brothers' original store location in San Bernardino, California, the founders and owners, Keith J. Cramer and his stepfather Matthew Burns, began searching for a concept. After purchasing the rights to two pieces of equipment called "Insta" machines, the two opened their first stores around a cooking device known as the Insta-Broiler. The Insta-Broiler oven proved so successful at cooking burgers, they required all of their franchises to carry the device. After the original company began to falter in 1959, it was purchased by its Miami, Florida, franchisees James McLamore and David R. Edgerton. The two initiated a corporate restructuring of the chain; the first step being to rename the company, Burger King. The duo ran the company as an independent entity for eight years, eventually expanding to over 250 locations in the United States, when they sold it to the Pillsbury Company in 1967.

Locol was a restaurant founded by Roy Choi and Daniel Patterson. The name connoted both "local" and "loco". The restaurant aspires to serve healthy alternatives to fast food at affordable prices while benefiting communities and disrupting food deserts.
