European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) (German: Europa-Universität Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder)) is a university located at Frankfurt (Oder) in Brandenburg, Germany. It is also known as the University of Frankfurt (Oder). The city is on the Oder River, which marks the border between Germany and Poland. With 5,200 students — around 1,000 of whom come from Poland — and some 160 teaching staff, the Viadrina is one of Germany's smallest universities (only the University of Erfurt and Jacobs University Bremen have fewer students).

The University of Regensburg is a public research university located in the city of Regensburg, Germany. The university was founded on 18 July 1962 by the Landtag of Bavaria as the fourth full-fledged university in Bavaria. Following groundbreaking in 1965, the university officially opened to students during the 1967–1968 winter semester, initially housing faculties in Law and Business Sciences and Philosophy. During the summer semester of 1968 the faculty of Theology was created. Currently, the University of Regensburg houses eleven faculties.

Since 1986, up to ten prizes have been awarded annually to individuals or research groups working at a research institution in Germany or at a German research institution abroad. Bahçeşehir University (BAU) is a private educational institution in Turkey, located around the Bosporus in Istanbul. The Turkish National Assembly authorized the establishment of the University of Bahçeşehir by the Bahçeşehir Uğur Education Foundation in 1998. An academic and strategic protocol was signed shortly after with San Diego State University in California, USA. The enrollment of the first students was made after the first placement exam (ÖSYS) in the 1999–2000 academic year. The university is one of the few universities in Turkey which has its lectures in English and therefore students applying to BAU are required to have high English proficiency.

Master of Business Informatics (MBI) is a postgraduate degree in Business Informatics (BI). BI programs combine information technology (IT) and management courses and are common in central Europe. The first master programs in Business Informatics were offered by the University of Rostock, as a face-to-face program, and by the Virtual Global University (VGU) together with the European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) as an online program . An MBI programme, which includes inter-cultural studies affecting business operations in European markets, was first offered by Dublin City University. Within the Bologna process, many Central European universities have been, or are in the process of, setting up master programmes in Business Informatics. Due to legal frameworks and restrictions, however, most of these programs are forced to award an M.Sc. degree instead of an MBI degree.
The International School of Information Management (ISiM) is the first Indian i-School and is an autonomous constituent institute of the University of Mysore, located in Mysore in Karnataka, Southern India. ISiM was conceptualised and established in 2005, in collaboration with the leading information schools in the U.S – namely the School of Information at the University of Michigan, the School of Information Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh, and the School of Information Studies at Syracuse University, International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Bangalore, and Dalhousie University of Canada. ISiM was established with grants from the Ford Foundation and Bangalore based Informatics India Pvt. Ltd.
The Pan-European University (PEVŠ) is a private university based in Bratislava, Slovakia. It was founded in 2004 as the Bratislava University of Law, primarily due to its co-founder and co-owner Ján Čarnogurský. The school gradually expanded the number of faculties, and since 2010, it has changed its name to the Pan-European University.

The Vietnamese–German University (VGU) is a Vietnamese public university, located in Binh Duong, Vietnam. In its administrative and academic structure, VGU follows the German model and standards. VGU was founded officially in March 2008 under the form of a partnership between Vietnam and Germany. In September 2008, VGU had its first intake of students. The university currently offers Bachelor's and Master's programs, covering the fields of engineering, natural sciences, and commerce.

The WU is the largest university having a business and economics focus in Europe. Helmut Krcmar holds the Chair for Information Systems in the Department of Informatics at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), Germany since 2002 with a joint appointment to TUM School of Management. Krcmar served as Dean of the Faculty of Informatics from 10/2010 until 09/2013. In July 2018 he was elected Vice Dean TUM School of Management and Founding Dean TUM Campus Heilbronn. He is academic director of the SAP University Competence Center @ TUM. Krcmar has supervised more than 100 Ph.D. students. He is also speaker of the directory board of Fortiss GmbH, Research Institute of the Free State of Bavaria for Software and Systems.
Martin Glaum is a German economist and author and has held the Otto Beisheim Endowed Chair of International Accounting at the WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management since 2014. Before this he held the Chair of International Management, Accounting and Auditing at the University of Giessen in Giessen, Germany. Until 1999 he was a Professor of International Management at the Viadrina European University in Frankfurt (Oder). He was born in Wetzlar, Germany.
The Collegium Polonicum in Słubice is a joint academic unit of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and of the Viadrina European University in Frankfurt (Oder). Its focus is on interdisciplinary scientific research and teaching on German-Polish, European, intercultural and cross-border issues. Collegium Polonicum is also a branch of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Słubice, in whose building this joint unit is physically based. This building had been erected in the years 1992–2001 by the Adam Mickiewicz University for the purpose of joint research and teaching activities with the Viadrina European University. As branch of Adam Mickiewicz University, Collegium Polonicum is one of four such units located outside Poznań and notably housing the Academic Secondary School for General Education in Słubice.
Andrii Portnov is a Ukrainian historian, essayist, and editor. He is the chair professor of entangled history of Ukraine at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder). and a director of the PRISMA UKRAЇNA Research Network Eastern Europe. He specializes in Polish-Russian-Ukrainian history and memory studies.

Philipp Ther is an Austrian and German historian. He is a tenured university professor at the University of Vienna who received the Wittgenstein Award in 2019. Ther is the founding director of the Research Center for the History of Transformations (RECET).
