Virtues is the third full-length studio album by pop-punk band Amber Pacific, released on April 13, 2010. This was the band's only album on Victory Records and their only without vocalist Matt Young, who left the group in early 2008 to pursue a career in public education. "Three Words" is the lead single off the album, released on March 23, 2010. It was written by the band's new vocalist, Jesse Cottam. [3] This is also the last album with original bassist Greg Strong, who left the band in 2011.

Contents

"The Good Life" was previously released on Amber Pacific's self-titled EP, released in 2009, while "An Anthem for the Young at Heart" is currently streaming from the band's official MySpace.

Men at Work are an Australian rock band formed in Melbourne in 1978 and best known for breakthrough hits such as "Who Can It Be Now?" and "Down Under". Its founding member and frontman is Colin Hay, who performs on lead vocals and guitar. After playing as an acoustic duo with Ron Strykert during 1978–79, Hay formed the group with Strykert playing bass guitar and Jerry Speiser on drums. They were soon joined by Greg Ham on flute, saxophone, and keyboards and John Rees on bass guitar, with Strykert switching back to lead guitar. The group was managed by Russell Depeller, a friend of Hay, whom he met at La Trobe University. This line-up achieved national and international success during the early to mid 1980s.

The group was formed in 1982 by Aaron Cometbus, founder of the seminal punk rock zine Cometbus, and future Operation Ivy vocalist Jesse Michaels. They grew out of the East Bay scene, centered on 924 Gilman Street, and had an important influence on later East Bay bands such as Operation Ivy, Green Day and punk rock in general.

Pirates of the Mississippi

Pirates of the Mississippi were an American country music band founded in 1987 by Bill McCorvey, Rich Alves, Jimmy Lowe (drums), Pat Severs, and Dean Townson. The group recorded for Capitol Records, Liberty Records, and Giant Records between 1990 and 1995, by which point Greg Trostle had replaced Pat Severs. They also charted nine singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, the most successful being "Feed Jake", which went to number 15 in 1991. After disbanding in 1996, both Alves and McCorvey went on to write songs for other artists. In 2000, the two reunited under the Pirates of the Mississippi name, releasing an additional album titled Heaven and a Dixie Night before disbanding again.

Run to the Hills 1982 single by Iron Maiden

"Run to the Hills" is a song by the English heavy metal band Iron Maiden. It was released as their sixth single and the first from the band's third studio album, The Number of the Beast (1982). It is their first single with Bruce Dickinson as vocalist. Credited solely to the band's bassist, Steve Harris, Dickinson contributed to the song but could not be credited due to a contractual agreement with his former band Samson. Run to the Hills remains one of the band's most popular songs, with VH1 ranking it No. 27 on their list of the 40 Greatest Metal Songs and No. 14 on their list of the Greatest Hard Rock Songs.

The Cockroaches Australian pub rock band

The Cockroaches were an Australian pub rock band active throughout the 1980s. The band was founded in 1979 by the Field brothers—Paul, John, and Anthony —and Tony Henry on drums and Joseph Hallion on saxophone. They were joined in 1981 by Jeff Fatt on keyboards. In 1986 they signed with an independent label, Regular Records, which issued their first three albums, including The Cockroaches, which peaked at No. 9 on the Australian Kent Music Report Albums Chart; it sold 70,000 copies and was certified platinum by their label. The album spawned the single "She's the One", which became the band's biggest hit when it peaked at No. 7 on the Kent Music Report Singles Chart in April 1987. In 1988, The Daily Telegraph described the Cockroaches, who played over 300 gigs a year, as the "Hardest Working Rock'n'Roll Band" in the country.

Amber Pacific is an American pop-punk band that formed in 2002 in Federal Way, Washington. The band has released four full-length albums, The Possibility and the Promise in 2005, Truth in Sincerity in 2007, Virtues in 2010 and The Turn in 2014.

The Possibility and the Promise is the first full-length album released by the emo band Amber Pacific. The title was taken from a quote in Charles Bukowski's Ham on Rye. The album contains one previously heard track, which is "Always You ", which can be heard on the band's debut EP. The song is also featured on the soundtrack of Criterion Games Burnout 3: Takedown.

Truth in Sincerity is the second full-length album by the pop punk band Amber Pacific and was one of the most anticipated pop punk albums of 2007. It was released on May 22, 2007. The first singles from the album were "Fall Back Into My Life" and "You're Only Young Once." Will Nutter has stated that "Follow Your Dreams, Forget The Scene" was made to a special fan of the band. The song "Runaway" features vocals from Mike Herrera of MxPx. On May 16, 2007, the entire album was available to stream on Amber Pacific's MySpace profile.

Alive is the 1969 album from The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. Liberty Records released this album after the original version of the band broke up and before the next version of the band re-signed with them. John McEuen would later recall that "we did [the album] at the Troubador and there were mountains of equipment on stage because Poco were on the same bill with us." Given McEuen's comment, it appears that the documented performance occurred on either December 6 or 7, 1968. The band would break up within weeks of this show.
