Visa is a 1983 Indian Malayalam-language comedy-drama film co-written and directed by Balu Kiriyath. It is based on the short story Bombayil Oru Madhividhu by G. Vivekanandan. The film stars Mammootty, Mohanlal, T. R. Omana, and Sathaar. The film has a musical score by Jithin Shyam. The film was a commercial success at the box office. Producer N. P. Abu after deciding to adapt G. Vivekanandan's short story Bombayil Oru Madhividhu into a film, invited Kabir Rowther for directing the film. But Ravuthar left the project due to creative differences and was replaced by Balu Kiriyath with a new theme. [5]

Soundtrack

The music was composed by Jithin Shyam and the lyrics were written by Bichu Thirumala.

The lead character, CBI officer Sethurama Iyer is inspired by a police officer named Radha Vinod Raju, Jammu and Kashmir cadre IPS Officer, who in 2009 was appointed as the first chief of India's National Investigation Agency. It was the highest grossing Malayalam film at that time. Considered one of the best crime thrillers in Malayalam, it eventually developed a cult following. This is the first installment in the CBI film series featuring Mammootty as Sethurama Iyer.

Asthram (transl. Arrow) is a 1983 Indian Malayalam-language film directed by P. N. Menon. The film stars Bharath Gopi, Mammootty, Mohanlal, Nedumudi Venu and Jyothi in the lead roles.
