Vittorio Loi (22 November 1942 - 14 October 2015) was an Italian wheelchair fencer who won ten medals at the Summer Paralympics. [2]
He won the Wheelchair Fencing World Championships for thirteen consecutive years from 1962 to 1974. He was a founding member of the Italian Federation of Sports for the Disabled (Federazione Italiana Sport Disabili, FISD) today the Italian Paralympic Committee (Comitato Italiano Paralimpico, IPC) and at International level was vice-president of International Wheelchair and Amputee Sports Federation (IWASF) until 2013. The International Wheelchair and Amputee Sports (IWAS) World Games (or IWAS World Games) are a multi-sport competition for athletes with a disability, which were the forerunner of the Paralympic Games. The competition has been formerly known as the World Wheelchair and Amputee Games, the World Wheelchair Games, the International Stoke Mandeville Games, the Stoke Mandeville Games (SMG), and in the 1960s and 1970s was often referred to as the Wheelchair Olympics.

Wheelchair fencing classification is the classification system for wheelchair fencing which is governed by the IWAS. People with physical disabilities are eligible to compete included people with physical disabilities. Classification for national competitions is done through the local national Paralympic committee.
Macau sent a delegation to participate in the 2012 Summer Paralympics in London, United Kingdom, from 29 August to 9 September 2012. This was the seventh appearance at a Summer Paralympic Games for the territory since its debut at the 1988 Summer Paralympics. Les Autres sport classification is system used in disability sport for people with locomotor disabilities not included in other classification systems for people with physical disabilities. The purpose of this system is to facilitate fair competition between people with different types of disabilities, and to give credibility to disability sports. It was designed and managed by International Sports Organization for the Disabled (ISOD) until the 2005 merger with IWAS, when management switched to that organization. Classification is handled on the national level by relevant sport organizations.

Zsuzsanna Krajnyák is a Hungarian Paralympic wheelchair fencer. She has won 11 medals at the Paralympic Games, with the first two coming at the 2000 Summer Paralympics in Sydney, where she won two bronze medals. She has also won medals at European and World Championships. Krajnyák was nominated for the Laureus World Sports Award for Sportsperson of the Year with a Disability in 2006.
Gemma Collis is a British Paralympic wheelchair fencer who competed in the Paralympics in 2012, 2016 and 2020. Gemma is a 15 time World Cup medallist, and is currently aiming for Paris 2024. She is vice-chair of the International Wheelchair and Amputee Sports Federation's Wheelchair Fencing Athletes' Council and a member of the IWAS Wheelchair Fencing Gender Equity Commission.
Ludmila Vasileva is a Russian wheelchair fencer. She fences in the foil and épée in category B. Ludmila is a four-time European champion, world champion, and bronze medalist at the 2020 Summer Paralympics Games in Tokyo (Japan). She competes under the flag of the Russian Paralympic Committee.
Hakan Akkaya is a Turkish Paralympian wheelchair fencer of sport class A. He is Turkey's first international wheelchair fencer.
